Food and service generally good. Disappointed that I went in twice to request table decorations but ended up bringing them home as table not decorated. No apology given. However they were very busy.

Food nothing special. Service was a bit sloppy. We may have gone on the wrong day. Lots of children screaming , high chairs everywhere. Not my cup of tea.

Fantastic night out here for the Jazz night. So angry I didn't know this was here as it's a gem and somewhere to go to feel grown up!! Food, staff and restaurant amazing - not needing an excuse to go again will be booking to go back asap.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Had traditional dishes, two had roast beef and one had pork loin. All very good, served with potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Good value at £55 inc tip for three. Meals are served on the first floor. Modern and spotlessly clean.

Booked today for my birthday lunch with my wife and son. Didn't disappoint, food great, drinks great and staff friendly and helpful. I had the rib eye steak, my wife the chicken supreme and m son the roast duck. A nice variety, tasty and well presented. Really enjoyed and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal out in... We came for Sunday lunch after seeing a promotion for Kids Eat Free. We have never tried it but gave it a go! We were really impressed with the service and the children were given colouring and bits to do whilst we waited. The beef was slightly over done on the roast but the atmosphere and friendly nature of the... More

This has to be one of the most frustrating reviews I have written. This is one of my favourite restaurants in the area. The food is always good (some minor blips) but as a family we love it. (On this occasion we went for the three course Sunday lunch but wasn't offered on the day and cost considerably more as... More

A very relaxing atmosphere. The night we went, it was the first night of a new menu, so you cannot expect 100%. However, it was most enjoyable, I must say it would have helped if the plates were hot.

Went for a girlie lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Choice of set lunch menu or a la carte. A warm welcome, plenty of choice from the menu. There were 5 of us and when the main course arrived, 1 meal took at least 5-10 mins after the others. Waitress was very attentive and even heated up the baby meal... More

Browns Lane has a stylish bar with a relaxed feel, and a restaurant that offers high quality freshly prepared cuisine. Imaginative cocktails to perfectly chilled champagne, freshly prepared lunchtime snack menus to the sumptuous specials board, create a perfect setting for any social occasion - coffee with a friend, a romantic meal for two or a big celebratory meal. The upstairs restaurant offers an a la carte menu of modern English 'with a twist' which changes monthly. All dishes are cooked to order using fresh, seasonal, local produce, by chefs who insist on a very high standard of cuisine. Our food is served until 10pm Monday to Saturday
