The food we had here was by far one of the best meals I've ever had out. Would definitely recommend the steak, and the burger was very good also. Service was great, staff were incredibly friendly and happy, couldn't recommend it enough.

We hadn't tried the Man of Ross despite visiting here for many years but we went for dinner last Thursday - fresh fish delivery day apparently - for some honest British food. We'd heard about the humungous cod and chips so there was the challenge...More

Visited this pub for lunch on a hot July day. We received a warm welcome - no pun intended. We sat outside. The menu looked to have a good variety of dishes, but as it was lunch time we only had jacket potatoes, which were...More

We ate here twice whilst on holiday recently. Service could not have been better - friendly and welcoming, with our orders taken promptly and top ups of drinks as soon as we looked across to the bar. The food was excellent; large portions and well...More

We popped in for Saturday lunch which is one of their seafood days and the food was really lovely. The staff could not be friendlier and a thoroughly good time was had by all. The only reason this is not a 5* rating is that...More

Having read previous good reviews we decided to give this pub a try on our overnight stay in Ross on Wye. The service was excellent. We had the blanch bait to share for the starter which we were told was a good idea as the...More

Description
We are a traditional, local family-run pub in the idyllic countryside of Herefordshire. Over looking stunning views of the Wye Valley, the Man of Ross is the ideal place to go for a drink or delicious home cooked food. We have a vast drinks collection of local ciders and ales, lagers, wines, soft drinks and freshly brewed coffee. All of our food is as locally sourced as possible and home cooked to order. Our lunchtime menu offers light bites such as sandwiches and baguettes to homemade pub classics. The Chef specialises in fresh seafood dishes which vary weekly depending on what fresh fish is available. Also, locally sourced Hereford steaks are served daily such as a 16oz T-Bone and our 'Trio of Steaks'. Sunday Roast is served every week using only local meat and produce. Pop in to have a pleasant experience and warm by our cosy wood burner or relax outside in the sun admiring views of the River Wye during the summer season.
