Although Tripadvisor list the Winking Prawn as being on South Sands, Salcombe, it is actually North Sands. South Sands is the next cove around, but also well worth a visit! This café/restaurant is in a superb location overlooking the small beach and the cove and...More

Back this year (again) - first time for a couple of my children. They loved it just as much! Always a winner. Lunchtime on a sunny day - went inside and plenty of space and blissfully cool compared to crowded outside tables . Pop corn...More

We were recommended this place by friends who have a holiday home nearby. So glad we followed their advice. Loved the seafood platter. Will definitely return next time we are anywhere even vaguely in the vicinity. Beautiful expansive sands too. Fabulous beach and fabulous food...More

Following a recommendation by a collegue at work who lived in Salcombe, I booked a table here to celebrate my graduation with my parents. From the warm bread rolls on the table at our arrival and the colourful decor, to the bunting and fairy lights...More

My family and I were looking forward to a lovely lunch. A friend said how great it was. Instead we found a large table but right under the speaker with music blaring out so loudly it stifled conversation. We queued up at the boat bar...More

Spent the day on the beach and got coffee and unusual Italian pastries. Later we went for a late lunch and had squid and prawns. Both tasty. And the tables were clean and staff relaxed friendly and efficient.
