Five members of staff chatting inside by the counter and only three pairs of customers at tables on the outside terrace. I walked into the restaurant to make my arrival known and was told to sit anywhere I liked and my wife and I would be served shortly. We sat at a table overlooking the waters edge but still had... Situated at the back of Crew clothing the wardroom offers great brunch menu. Go in summer when you can watch the hussle and bustle of salcombe life go by. Expect it to be busy and cosy as its a popular joint!

We visited The Wardroom for a special Easter Saturday pop up restaurant for dinner by Masterchef's Jamie Rogers. 6 really delicious courses plus a 'surprise' appetiser for a very reasonable £39.50 a head. A very warm and friendly atmosphere with dogs and babies at nearby tables, but you'd expect no less in Salcombe! The staff were very attentive and charming... More

Love love love this place. Amazing fish chowder. Crisp cold wine. Dog friendly. Child friendly. Friendly helpful staff-Claud and Christina are just lovely. Get to it through the crew or around the side of the harbour masters HQ.

Tucked away at the back of a clothes shop my wife only found it as there is a board outside. Inside it's in a great position overlooking the water etc. We arrived at just before 11.30 but didn't get served until just after which meant we could order breakfast (as this finished at 11.30) and couldn't order lunch until after... Dear Mark H, Thank you for your review. I am glad your family found our restaurant, and now you know where we are. Yes, I am afraid we stop our breakfast at 11:30 and lunch starts at 12:00. We only have a small kitchen, so our chefs need time to change over to a different lay-out; but still a soup... More

An idyllic place to stop and enjoy the harbour of Salcombe. The place is bustling and full of locals enjoying their food and beverages. A lovely place to sit in the sunshine and watch life go by. Recommended - Bacon Sandwich with HP Sauce! Delicious :)

Found this place at the back of Crew clothing and popped in for lunch. Everything we wanted - good food, relaxed atmosphere and a great view.

We've liked our past visits to the Wardroom and even with a cappuccino at close to £3 it was always a nice place to sit and enjoy the views across the estuary. For us dogs and eating don't go together but we accept that some restaurants are happy to accommodate the doggies and the visitors choice to go there is... More

Dear Papabob, We really appreciate your feedback, and are happy that you find the position of the restaurant attractive. Sorry the day you came there were too many dogs in there. We do currently operate as a dog-friendly restaurant. And normally there are not more than 1 or 2 dogs in there. Sorry for the inconvenience. We always working on... More
