Had lunch at the ferry inn whilst in Salcombe with the family. Amazing garden and views. Good range of beers, and the food excellent. The homemade pies are to die for. Very happy and helpful staff, and a good experience for all. Can't wait to experience it in the summer. Have been informed of a summer menu being rolled out... More

The food here was of a high standard, and was varied, covering a range of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is accessed via steps which is worth bearing in mind for those with mobility issues. The beer garden at the bottom is arguably the best-situated in Salcombe with views stretching out across the estuary. Seagulls tend to hover... More

If you want an old fashioned drinking hole this is it - a wood burning stove, board games, dogs welcome and sticky carpets. It's a proper un fancy pub in a place where bars and pubs seem to be the opposite. It has great views across the estuary. I imagine in summer it's heaving as the ferry pontoon is attached... More

We sat outside and had a lovely view to the estuary and had lunch. The service was good and although very busy, the food was good quality. Ideal place to visit if you want lunch with a splendid view, as long as there is room to sit outside and the weather allows! Equally, I am sure inside has a pleasant... More

We drove to Salcombe from Kingsbridge. Lovely views along the way, parking was difficult- well it was New Years Eve day. But well worth the effort. Lovely shops and café to wander round, Then into the Ferry Inn for Lunch, Amazing views on the estuary. Cant be many pubs with views like we enjoyed. Well worth a visit.

We booked a table here for New Year's Day. Service on the phone booking was very organised and I was impressed. We had a lovely table in the restaurant with amazing views over the estuary. Most of the party had roast beef which they all said was lovely. The two vegetarians had goats cheese tartlets, again great. They were very... More

Visited on holiday in September during day, for drinks twice because it was dog-friendly on the harbour-side (down a lot of steps, by the ferry!) it was well worth the price of the drinks for the fantastic location and view. On a sunny day, what can be nicer than sipping cold lager and white wine (with your dogs!) and watching... More

Came in for a few drinks and the usual excellent fish and chips. Very welcoming on a cold December evening. Very friendly staff. The draughts game was a nice surprise and we played a few games before the meal. We had a great evening.
