The staff were very accommodating for our friends dog and the service was friendly throughout. We all enjoyed our meals, particularly the duck and creamed cabbage which was spectacular!

Arrived as they were opening for lunch and sat In the main dining area. Quite dark and gloomy being a very old period property..a few spot lights or maybe mirrors needed to brighten the ambience? The steak and stilton pie was tasty; not fantastic value...More

The food is really worth the journey which is along some very narrow roads. I had roast beef with fantastic Yorkshire pudding and lovely fresh vegetables. Dessert of Banhoff Pie was one of the best I have ever had.

The pub was busy and has several seating areas. It’s full of objects hanging from the ceiling and wall giving its character. The food is a little pricey but very nice the lamb was done to perfection and portions generous
