We decided to go to the King William for drinks because it is in an idyllic setting, especially on a summer's day and it was also a special day for our family. We arrived at almost 7pm (on a Sunday) and we were told it...More

As Others have said, the Location is Perfect, but the Pub does not have a nice feel about it, it could be very good if they get the right people in. The Food is Terrible and over priced, and of very poor quality. We have...More

I had the amazing seafood chowder with amazing views. Great service too. So cool to find an unpretentious pub that hasn't been swallowed up by fads for fine dining and full of fussy pseudo gastronauts that think they could do better. Some people ought to...More

We visited on a recommendation from a friend who expressed how amazing the location and views were and they were right, it's a fantastic spot with great views over the English countryside. My advice is take a picnic......the food is terrible, we paid £12.99 for...More

The Food is overpriced, the ingredients used in the Pies taste as though they came out of a tin, not fresh meat. This is not a place to go if you enjoy Quality Good Food cooked by a Chef. I would return for a Drink...More

Stunning setting, attractive interior, friendly atmosphere with no piped music but the food was just this side of awful and the service, although polite and friendly, was slapdash. My starter was acceptable but my main dish was terrible. It consisted of a huge bone, no...More

Family meal out with visiting relatives. Quite a large group but food arrived together and was great. Waiting staff helpful. Make sure you book because it is very popular with the new team.

Great pub for lunch and a decent walk around a pretty area. We booked as going at a busy weekend and were well looked after. All seven of us enjoyed the food. Gluten free was not a problem. Pub welcomes walkers to leave their car

My grandchildren and friends who visit us from Norway twice a year loved the typically English pies. Are they still available.

Not quite sure what a 'typical English pie' is. Candidates would include Melton Mowbray Pork Pies, and Cornish pasties. Neither of which are available at the King William as far as I know. Sorry not to be more helpful.

A cosy country pub nestled in the Chilterns, with outstanding views on rolling hills. Inside it is traditional and inviting with a roaring log fire, wooden beams, beers served straight from the cask, good wholesome pub food and a warm welcome.
