We needed lunch at a halfway point on the way home from a trip...we stopped here and found this lovely old building - probably the nicest on the high street, doing great value lunches - ideal for hungry boys who won't do 'boring' kids menus anymore! It was Good Friday and busy when we got in at about 1pm. There... More

Hello there. Firstly I'd like to thank you very much for writing a review, they really do help our business, even the bad reviews.... every little helps, and especially the length of detail you have gone into. Helps for possible future customers better understand certain aspects before they have even visited us. Secondly for actually visiting us in the first... More

Having returned to the County Hotel today after giving it a long break, We realised why we had stayed away, When the menu states that the Hallumi Wrap contains char grilled Hallumi you do not expect it to be at room temperature with the occasional mark on it where it has been seared with a skewer heated in a gas... Hello there. Firstly I'd like to say thank you for leaving your feedback, it really does help. Good and bad reviews, as no where is perfect. Secondly I'll start by apologising for your visit. I'm not sure what reasons you had for not visiting us as recently as we would have liked, but that's not for now.... Our Hallumi is... More

One of Britain's best Spoons! Had a great Steak & Kidney Pudding for just £5.45. You won't find any better traditional pub in Ashford Kent. Can't recommend any Premier Inn affiliated eateries. Excellent staff, easy parking

Thank you very much for the review. As you may have noticed we have recently had the inside of the pub decorated to brighten the inside up. A nice lick of paint has helped. Next on the list is the lighting, but as it's a much more complicated job it's been out to one side for the moment. I hope... More

Try the big breakfast, very good value for the price, large menu and all reasonably priced, large range of craft and real ales, well priced again, service is good, if you use their carpark you get a £2 refund voucher if you spend more than £5.

Thank you for your visit and review. We really appreciate it. Would just like to add that you get £1 refund on your car park ticket but there is no minimum spend. We advise customers to put £1 at a time in machine as that way it works out to free parking. Hope to see you again soon Craig More

I couldn't fault the drinks, atmosphere, staff or decor. I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy my visit to this pub. My visit to the toilet however was about as welcoming as a brick through the front room window. One customer enjoyed their food so much (you'd of thought it was curry night) they left a good... I have been here a couple of times for lunch, and get what I expect from a Wetherspoon. Quite a large pub, tables could be cleaned more frequently, staff always seem rushed, lacks a bit of the friendly/personal touch.

Real value for money meals & drinks. Nice pub interior, hard working staff. I don't like kids within the bar area, however. they keep an eye on youngsters without an identity card and legally refuse entry to families with kids after 9pm who nevertheless have the guts to give a negative feedback on tripadvisor
