Good atmosphere. Great beers on tap. Try the Axe at 6.7% it’s lovely. The staff are very friendly and there are seats outside for the warmer evening. Great place to go if you have your dog with you as you can sit outside.
Booked a table for 4 people and arrived at 6 to find the place buzzing !
Everything about it was excellent .Thank you Haley for looking after us so well and the banter .
The 53 platter for sharing was delicious , followed by a...molten tartiflette !!!
It was a birthday celebration and they surprised us with a birthday ice cream and meringue board 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you very very much xMore
Great selection of beer and highly knowledgeable staff. Got very busy so pleased we had booked in advance. Food was great, especially the brisket. Staff were really friendly ( in spite of being so busy) and couldn't do enough to look after the customers
Very busy, children & dogs welcome
Seated until a table became available, 5 minutes or so.
Table clean, seated by the window.
The Tap House serves Buxton Brewery's own real ales, I highly recommend the Axe Edge if you're NOT driving. Its a deceptively easy...drink, with a light colour and floral hoppy flavour.
Service was very quick. Drinks arrived quickly, food order taken. Staff we're great nothing too much trouble. Fab service.
Toilets clean & well maintained
Jnr ordered the Club sandwich
I ordered the smoked brisket
Jnr described the club sandwich as really good and very filling. Tomato, rocket, bacon, chicken, holloumi, the bread is toasted, with a mixed leaf salad and fries
The smoked brisket had the Tap House's own sauce, very nice, spicy without being over so. The brisket was very tender, fries, but fries done okay, someones changing the oil, fresh walnuts, rocket and pickled gherkins. Again very filling.
You will be well fed here.
Dessert was vanilla ice cream with a shot of kahula & belgian waffle with chocolate sauce & vanilla ice cream. Waffle kind of tough.
2 X pints of Axe Edge, 2 x Latte, the meal £52.00.
In a months time the Tap House Cellar will be opening, where they will be doing things like beer tasting etc.More
Mixed feelings about this bar and offerings. Popped in on Friday night and had couple of beers which were very good. Staff good and clearly on the ball. However , when coming back on Sunday afternoon ( which was busy and we were given a...good table) the service was sporadic and staff clearly rushed. Ordered burger with crispy chorizo which was poor. Burger was only warm and crispy chorizo was just a slice which had never seen heat! Mentioned to young man serving and not much of an apology or reason provided. Ordered pudding but after 15 mins and no sign of it decided to pay up and leave. Bit of a shame as beer is great. ,also bit concerned as quite a few dogs inside premises and a couple of times it was quite disturbing as there was clearly doggy friction ....someone may be bitten is my concern.More
This is a great bar offering a superb range of well kept beers. On our visit we had a mixture of cask and keg and enjoyed the Little Tor, Moor Top , Jacobs Ladder but the standout was the BA Speyside, simply sublime.
We also...had some excellent nachos.
Service was very good and the pub spotless.More
