We stopped off in tipp yesterday and a local fruit man recommended to eat here. Well, we weren't disappointed. Service was so quick and top quality foods. Staff were so nice and extremely attentive. Really on top of their game here.

Tipperary Town is my home town and it is such a treat visit the French Quarter Café whenever I am back home for coffee and a sweet treat. Their scrumptious baking is the real deal from their pear and almond or plum tarts and chocolate biscuit cake to buttery scones and bakewell tarts, and stirs up memories and aromas of French boulangerie-patisseries. Not to mention the most authentic croissants, crispy and plain or twice-baked and filled with almond paste, to be found in Ireland. Such a treat whether to sit in or take away, always.

I always come here with my daughter and i find it a great place to eat. Extremely helpful and friendly staff who couldn't do more if they tried. The food is tasty too. The added bonus i find is that its situated in the Excel so the library is beside it. I also attend a baby and toddler class so its nice to catch a coffee afterwards.

We arrived at the cafe just before lunchtime on a Thursday in the middle of May. The atmosphere was congenial. Around a dozen tables for perhaps thirty customers. It was about 70% full. The food and drinks were very good and well presented. The environment was modern and clean. The service timely and helpful. The cost for a pot of tea, cappuccino, chocolate and biscuit slice served with pot of cream, pavlova was €14.50. There is a car park opposite and a small amount of street parking. The toilets were very clean and are shared with the library which is located in same building. However, there is no indication that they were being serviced during the day. Overall, an excellent experience.

Lovely review, thank you very much, we make most of the desserts ourselves and I really think there is such a difference between homemade and factory made. Glad you enjoyed them and hopefully see you for more!

I’ve been having lunch in this establishment for the last five years. I always enjoy the atmosphere and the food is so tasty. The tables and chairs are a little old and little refurbishment would vastly improve the overall experience. While I do think that their location in the excel has greatly helped this cafe to shine, I would love to see this cafe opening its own doors someday, with a little expansion too? I think the upgrading of the excel should have incorporated an upgrade to the cafe also.

Hello and thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you enjoy the atmosphere and the food. I have to agree with you that we are due to refurbish the cafe. It needs a new lease of life and an update , these are on the cards for 2020. Thanks again and we hope you keep coming. Annemarie and Loic

Hi gerry thanks again for the kind and positive words. I think the hardest thing we face is to maintain our standards and to make sure that each visit is as good as the last. Praise has to go to our hardworking staff who do their best to look after the staff and to make and prepare food they care about. Thanks again Annemarie and Loic.
