This is the second time we have visited in a few days. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and plentiful. The local beers were also very good. Would come here again.

Visited this pub for lunch whilst out for a short walk around the area, called in one hour before needing the table to see if we needed to book, I was greeted in a very friendly manner by the landlord and his wife. Upon our return we were directed to a lovely table next to a lovely open fire. We... More

Stopped at the village for a walk. Saw the pub and went in. What a lovely unspoilt pub. Not a massive menu but what there was excellent. I had stuffed peppers with leeks and cheese sauce, new potatoes and salad delicious . Hubbie and friend had gammon followed by strawberries and cream excellent value courses £9

Always had a most enjoyable time with great cask ales & fantastic food. The fish platter is always great as is the salmon fillet. Well worth a visit, a great little watering hole but a... More

My two friends and I popped in for a lunch after a long walk. The pub was very busy and the bar to the right was full. We entered the bar to the left and there was a table for two free so we asked another table if we could take one of their chairs. The two of them promptly... More

We ate here on a Friday evening whilst staying locally. We'd booked and when we entered the Inn we followed a very large Labrador and its owner into a small, snug and very full bar. We had our own dog and were welcomed by smiling friendly staff and customers alike. We were pointed to our table in the bar, a... More

Great lunch before a walk by the river. I had a hearty thick cut ham egg and chips and my partner had the shallot and goats cheese quiche. Nice atmosphere and friendly. Recommended.
