My girlfriend and I visited Don Giovanni's on a Friday evening. We were greeted warmly and ushered to our seats with menus. The restaurant was warm, clean and tidy. My only complaint about the atmosphere was that modern music was being played. I would have preferred authentic Italian music to add to atmoshpere but that might just be me. We... More

The service was poor, not very friendly staff. The food was plain and lacked flavour. The steak was chewy and didn't look very appetising. I wouldn't go back again

We went to this restaurant using a deal and were more than satisfied. Food was freshly prepared and of a good quality. Drinks were reasonably priced. Good choice of set meals and overall good value.

Nice quiet place where it's possible to talk, or as I did, enjoy a good book while waiting for an excellent meal. I had Bruschetta as a starter. The bread was crisp and light, and the tomatoes were surprisingly tasteful. The main course was Lasagna and it was just as Italian as it should be, and the house red wine... More

I'm normally very generous with my reviews but can't seem to stretch to that on this occasion. Have visited this restaurant once before and wasn't sure about it so decided to give it a second chance, now wish I hadn't. Ordered mushrooms for starters which were overlooked and dry with a lot of greasy oil poured over them. In fact... More

My hubby and I ordered pizza to eat in their outside eating area, which I imagine is for warm days only. It was absolutely lovely. I have been there several times and definitely will be returning. Gorgeous real Italian food, great service and a lovely ambiance. I definitely recommend a visit.

Went to the 1st choice restaurant but it was closed so though we would try here instead and it was a good choice. The staff were friendly, the clientele all seemed to be returning customers or regulars which is always a good sign and I enjoyed the rather large pizza

It could have been better. The first courses were great, and drinks arrived within seconds of ordering. The main course of a filet steak served with a mushroom and wine sauce topped with parma ham was good...BUT the steak was too chewy for filet. It was either not filet or the butcher had let the restaurant down. Also, the Chef... More

Folkestone isn't exactly rich in good eateries... or so we found. A nearby Mexican proved to be closed, and according to another couple wandering the area, was hardly the only establishment where this was the case. We felt slightly uncomfortable walking past closed establishments during the early evening hours. And there was Don Giovanni. It was open, the interior is... More

this is the closest decent restaurant to our house, and the family running it are so friendly, that we have adopted it as our 'local' We would eat there anytime, and can always be assured of a great traditional Italian meal, and a great price
