While having a 2 night db&b break used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food at all meals was very good with a sensible choice of dishes, all beautifully presented. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. Value for money was good with 2 or 3 course menus that could be mixed.

We dined each evening in the 1881 restaurant and varied our choices between both the Standard and the Indulgence menu and to say the food was excellent would be an understatement. Whatever you do you "must eat in the 1881 restaurant" which has excellent and beautifully presented food.

Enjoyed dinner as part of a all to brief mini-break at this lovely hotel. (separate review). The menu was short but extremely sweet - so much so we found it difficult to choose. Service friendly and efficient. Portion sizes maybe over generous and beautifully presented. Two courses would have been enough but couldn't resist trying the "Scarborough Fair" dessert which... We do not usually eat in the hotels we stay in. So glad we changed our mind. Service, presentation, quality..everything wonderful. Caramelised rice pudding was a revelation!

Super choice, beautifully presented. Very good service. Staff attentive but unobtrusive. Definitely somewhere to try.

Having traveled round the globe this is still the only hotel I've ever reviewed. We were upgraded this time but actually saw the room we stayed in last time and bearing in mind we were the first people to stay in room 12 it was still emaculate ( a reflection on how good housekeeping is). The food is absolutely amazing... More

Interesting review no comment on what it was you had to eat? Your other review seems to point to your preference for Fish & Chips so I now understand your review as will others reading this! More

We stayed at Wrea Hall for a couple of nights at the beginning of February so we ate at the hotel both evenings. The menu is stunning and caters for everyones taste. You are advised to choose from the menu in the bar or in the lounge which means you can sit and peruse the delights on offer at your... More

Fine dining experience which we don't have often but the food was amazing. Easy to find with sat nav. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Great meal and evening, would highly recommend for a specialist celebration

A gormet experience from beginning to end, and all set in opulent setting. A variety of options on the menu and the most difficult part is which one to choose.
