We called in on our way back from holiday and had an excellent breakfast...all well cooked and even my wife ate the sausage which is unusual ! We observed excellent cleaning regime and the food was great.

Love popping in here for a coffee. The staff are super friendly and, although my visits are brief, I always enjoy my weekly visit :)

On arrival our table and chairs were disinfected before we came forward. We had lunch yesterday and decided we would return today en-route home to Scotland as we were passing the premises anyway. Yesterday we felt the restruant was slightly undermanned with a lot of...extra work falling on the staff. On both days we were served by Fiona who couldn't have done more for us. The food was lovely with decent portions. The seating is well set out internally and there is an external covered seating area if you don't want to sit in.More

Food was lovely but tone of staff seemed rude and unapprecitve of our custom. Maybe they were just worn out from christmas?

We had lunch here whilst on holiday with friends at Milton Maines Cottages in Brampton. It was very busy but the staff very kindly cleared two tables to accommodate us. We all had sandwiches, which were nicely presented & delicious. We would definitely return again...if we're ever in the area again.More

We discovered this place when we couldn’t stop at another restaurant along the road. Very pleased that we did! The food was freshly prepared, of a very good quality and the portions were generous. The menu provided plenty of choice for a lunch and all...of the staff were friendly and helpful. I can recommend the cafe for an easy stop and good value.More

I am really sad to be writing this review, my dad loves this place but I am afraid that we were both extremely disappointed after our visit there yesterday. I have a dog, usually she doesn't come out for lunch but yesterday she did. It...was a really hot day but having seen dogs in the sheltered area next to the main restaurant previously I thought it would be ok, I couldn't have been more wrong. On arrival I was told that dogs were no longer allowed in the sheltered area but there were tables to the side of the car park we could have, I was not happy and voiced my disappointment, but as it was getting on and my dad, who is 87 f has type two diabetes has to eat regularly we decided to stay. I asked if there were and sun shades or umbrellas available, as there were a few stands around, but was told no. It was swealtering, even though I had factor 50 sunscreen on I ended up getting burned. Dad was bothered by wasps and poor Bella dog was boiling under the table. When I asked about the change in policy l was told that the owners had decided that they didn't want dogs after a fight broke out between two visiting dogs a while ago, I understand that, I really do but they have taken a stance where dogs are made positively unwelcome, there wasn't even a water bowl outside, although one of the staff did fill mine for me. Then we come to the food, which to be honest is usually excellent, although vegetarian choices are limited to say the least and if you are vegan you are not catered for at all, which seems to be a rally silly business decision. I had a jacket potato, which was rotten, to be fair when I took it back I was refunded and I do understand that you can't see inside a potato until it is cooked but it's fairly careless for this not to be spotted when the filling was added. I ended up with a cheese and coleslaw sandwich. My dad and I visit this place at least twice a month but after yesterday I am reluctant to go back. If I do I hope that the management have taken on board my suggestion about the shelter over the tables. The staff were great, and very apologetic, I was very upset by the situation and I let them know this. I have to say that in 2019 I would expect a better experience and a more varied menu, but the proprietors of Hatton farm shop obviously still live in 1972!More

Visit regularly with a group of friends. This week however we felt pressured into making our menu choices. Only been seated about 3 minutes when the waitress asked for our order. I asked for a few more minutes in order to decide - was ignored....Plates were removed while one of our group was still eating!More
