We’ve just spent the night at The Sally. What a stunning hotel. So tastefully decorated. Beautiful touches which I suspect would be even better if it wasn’t for Covid. The room was spotlessly clean and the very large bed in Eden was extremely comfortable. All...members of staff we came into contact with were very friendly and attentive. Dinner was fantastic. The chilli and garlic prawns were the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Lasagne also very good and hubby loved his duck. Breakfast was also lovely. The whole stay was incredible value for money. We will recommend and will definitely be back.More

Went for my birthday, during the day while the kids were at nursery. Enjoyed the meal and the company. The hosts were great and we had a chat and a laugh with them. Just disappointed I was not there at night as a beer would...have been good but had to stick to Coke Zero. The waitress was also good. I will return, maybe at night.More

My friend and I stopped at this pub for food on our hadrians wall walk. Lovely food, obviously homemade. The gnocchi was excellent. The service was delivered with a smile and happy for a chat even though they were busy. Very well thought through covid...19 safety precautions in place also. I highly recommend this place.More

We booked this last minute to break up a long journey and we were pleasantly surprised. The service and attention to detail were outstanding, the food was excellent and a breakfast to die for ! It’s clear the owners have really high standards, the place...was so clean you could have done open heart surgery in there. The biggest surprise was the room, the furniture and decor wouldn’t be out of place in a 5 star luxury hotel and the bed....up to now the best bed I’d slept in was at the Sofitel in Montreal, the bed here has knocked it off the number one slot. I didn’t want to get up ! A really great place with friendly helpful staff. We will def be back.More

My husband and I booked lunch here 2 weeks ago whilst on holiday in the Lake District. We can honestly say it’s the best meal we had all week ! My husband had the steak pie and he said it was delicious . I had...the lasagne and it was as good as my own that I make . Praise indeed from me as I usually can find fault as I was once a Chef myself in a busy kitchen . The food is very well presented , piping hot and plenty of it . My husband had a chocolate dessert and I had a a speciality coffee to finish with . We felt very safe and Covid protocols are very much adhered to . Thank you for a lovely meal , we wish we lived nearer to be able to visit often ,but alas we are in Worcestershire. Hopefully if we are up to the lakes again we will certainly eat with you .Anyone reading this thinking of eating here should go ,it’s excellent and you won’t be disappointed. We stayed for a night at the Sally as part of our walk on Hadrian's Wall. We were struck with the care that had gone into planning for Covid safety and the attention of the staff in making sure that visitors felt welcome as well...as safe. The whole pub was extremely clean, the room was comfortable and the food was great. Particular shout out to the two women running service when we arrived on 17 September and in the evening, they were exceptional. Also, very good communication in advance from Shaun at the Sally.More

We stayed at The Sally for the night en-route home from holiday, which as an excellent choice. We stayed in the small en-suite room which was ideal for our purpose. Room was spotless and by the looks of it recently decorated with excellent en-suite facilities....£82 for bed and a wonderful cooked breakfast - can't go wrong. I'd also highly recommend staying around for dinner severed in the restaurant - great food. Service was perfect with the staff being very welcoming. If you want to go walking or are taking in the Roman sites then I'd certainly recommend staying at The Sally.More
