My three friends and I after going around Wentworth gardens and house, had afternoon tea at this delightful place. Our table was already set up outside, the sandwiches, cakes were lovely, espically the lemon and lavender cake. love the detail of the china teacups, teapots...etc, we kept the young man on his toes with asking for more hot water. The weather was kind to, so thankyou tearooms, making it an end to a perfect day.More

I meet friends regularly at the Wentworth Village Tearoom and always enjoy the food and the surroundings. Today I came with my husband for afternoon tea which was delicious. The home made scones and cakes are outstanding and we both thought the lemon and lavender...cake made by Jane was light, moist and mouth-wateringly good. Thank you Jane and Mick.More

This was our first trip out to a cafe after lockdown and we expected changes. We purposefully sat outside and gave ourselves more time than usual for a quick bite to eat. The cafe looked welcoming and had a constant flow of, what looked like,...local customers, so we were confident in our choice. There was a cheery greeting and the staff were friendly and approachable. The garden area is accessed via a few uneven steps, so not for those with mobility issues. Flags and teacups hung from the trees, but the space looked tired and in need of a lick of paint on the furniture and play house. Prices are steep, but not so bad if the value is found in the portion size. Not so here. The panini was thinly filled and not hot as advertised. Waiting times were a puzzle too. The (tiny) place was not even half full, but we waited 20 minutes for a coffee and 45 minutes for a panini. Questioning the waitress just resulted in a promise that it was on its way. Next time, we'll wait until The Bistro opens for lunch across the road.More

My friends and I have been popping into this lovely little place for many years and it never disappoints... I’d booked for an afternoon tea for my friends birthday and it was absolutely delicious, as always. My friend enjoyed the cakes so much she had...an extra one and another coffee. (We always take some Cake away for her son too). I’m coeliac and frequently find that places don’t cater Very well for me. Not so here, the sandwiches were lovely and the gluten free scone one of the best I’ve ever had. The gf chocolate cake was as good as ever. Staff are always lovely, helpful and pleasant. Surroundings are quaint and homely. Smashing.More

We paid £48 for four afternoon teas which we bought to take for a picnic with friends in Leeds. Upon opening the teas, we were shocked and surprised at the contents. I am attaching a photograph. Basically, one round of sandwich, half a dozen Doritos,...a small tomato, half a cream scone and a slice of cake. Oh, and a tea bag ! £48. For that ! I give one star because I can’t give none. No sausage roll, no pork pie, no salad. The cream cheese and cucumber sandwich couldn’t have possibly had a thinner scraping of cream cheese on it. We were totally embarrassed when our friends opened the teas and found this shocking offering. Needless to say, I won’t be recommending the Village tea room to anyone.More

We went as part of the eat out to help out programme and if I am honest I would not have paid much more. You get choice of cake and that's full sized which is lovely, half a scone already jammed and creamed some sandwiches...and a few doritos. I felt a little short changed by the half scone as it was delicious but who serves half? I also like to add the cream and jam as I like its part of the ceremony of afternoon tea.More

For a place that advertises breakfast and your choice is bacon sandwich ,scrambled egg on toast ,beans on toast is not a very good choice and to be charged over £12 for two bacon sandwiches a tea and a coffee is poor and won’t be...coming back you can go to wentworth garden centre and get better choices and value for money will not be recommending it to my travelling friends now or everMore

Been here before a couple of times but visited here again recently. Enjoyed our trip (went with my wife and mum) and we had tea and a sandwich each along with cake for dessert! We enjoyed our trip out here for food and the service...was very good. Prices were good and it's recommended. I'm sure there may be a visit in future years.More
