My parents eat here regularly and are treated like honoured guests. The food is always of good quality and the service excellent. I would recommend this place

After reading previous reviews of Sunday lunch, we decided to visit last Sunday. As a result I have come to the conclusion that everyone's expectations vary enormously. To be fair, there was nothing wrong with the lunch, except it was just a bit boring, and rather unexciting and tasteless. On a positive note, there was ample food, and it was... More

This is the first time we've been here it was a lovely home cooked Sunday dinner for £8.50. I would highly recommend it.

A most brilliant night at the plough. A giant bonfire and a very impressive firework display made the decision to go to the plough on 5th November a good one. On top of that I had a few fine pints of Blacksheep. A couple of minor grumbles, the hotdogs and burgers were a little pricey, so I did without, and... More

I visited here on Saturday. With my 2 young children. The plough is lovely and quiet with great views out of the window. Location is good but you would need to drive there ideally. Plenty of car parking spaces. The food is lovely and of good quality. I highly recommend the garlic mushrooms for starter they are amazing. The food... More

Quiet pub with an experienced and decent landlord. I drank Blacksheep, which was excellent. We did not eat but what we saw and smelled seemed excellent also.

A lovely big pub on the top of micklebring with stunning views across Rotherham. It's what you would expect a country pub to be. It needs some updating with the decor and the chairs need swapping out as they are uncomfortable and creaky! We both ordered the hunters chicken which was a massive plate full when it came, the chips... More

Me and my son sometimes go to the Plough for a pint. The beer is good but mobile phone and internet reception is poor. (We are on different networks so it is probably a dead spot location) I appreciate some people might say "great" but this is a frustration to us. Perhaps the pub should explore complimentary wi-fi for customers... More

The internet service is very poor in Micklebring. We do have a Wi-Fi code that you can put in just ask for the code at the bar. It's free. More
