We booked The Cow Shed to host an intimate party for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. The whole night went without a hitch and everyone enjoyed it. The food, service and the atmosphere was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble from putting up decorations to...More

I was able to take advantage of a 3 course for £19:95 deal. The food was excellent, staff were friendly and the ambiance very good. If you are in Wakefield the is a place not to miss.

The early bird special was incredible value Rump steak amazing . Go for the new potatoes rather than chips if hungry or health conscious. Service superb. Didn't bother with desserts this time but the cheesecake is delicious.

A good range of dishes to choose from which were well presented and very tasty. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cosy. It is, however, one of the more expensive establishments in Wakefield and the ambiance would be vastly improved by adding...More

Service excellent. Starter was delicious. Main of venison disappointing, not seared enough and sauce too sweet. Dessert was really good.

Been coming for 10 years. Never fail to provide a good meal and service. Cosy restaurant and staff always lovely. I always order pate for starter and steak for main. If you can fit a pudding in they are to die for as well.

We don't call here very often - maybe 2 or 3 times a year and have always had a great dining experience. Can't think of anything which could be improved so 5 stars feels well deserved.

We decided not to choose the early bird menu even though we were able to because the specials board looked too good. We were not disappointed. I had the stroganoff with fillet steak and my other half had the surf and turf. He is a...More

Hi, we accommodate children but we don't have a children's menu, we can do smaller portions of some pasta, steak, chicken and salmon dishes on the lunch and dinner menus. We always do whatever we can. Cowshed Team🐮
