Cow Shed was always our favourite place to eat but we hadn't visited the Cow Shed since it has been taken over. We went for lunch and chose the early bird menu. We both had pate as our starter which was OK, a bit dry...More

Beautiful food as always. Great service and not rushed. Early bird menu is really great value. Yummy desserts (if you can manage one!)

This is a great little spot in Wakefield city centre. It is a bit more classy than many places in the area serving a range of British classics but mainly steaks. Our meals were generally good, we both had rump steaks which were nice but...More

My partner and I decided to try the early bird menu so we booked in and didn't know what to expect. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals we've ever had. We had the pate to start which was superb, I...More

The Cow Shed to start has an incredible Tudor building full of history. The food doesn’t let the side down - romantic setting, outstanding food and a large selection of fine wines - this place becomes addictive - very very highly recommended

In even the past 8 weeks I have had the privilege to dine in Spain, Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore as well as the UK, but sometimes in life some of the best places are right under your nose. I have managed 3 times here in...More

I’m so so sad after visiting the cow shed today. After so many lovely years I’m afraid it’s not the place it once was. My chicken chasseur was dreadful. Just a plate of tomato purée, a hard herb dumpling and anemic chicken. None of the...More

Have been here before many times have always thought it's about 7/10 and having gone for dinner with a friend recently have to say it's still 7/10. Cost was £50 per head for 3 courses and a bottle of wine. Staff were lovely, attentive and...More

Hi, we accommodate children but we don't have a children's menu, we can do smaller portions of some pasta, steak, chicken and salmon dishes on the lunch and dinner menus. We always do whatever we can. Cowshed Team🐮

We don't have a specific menu but we always do what we can for those with food intolerances. Feel free to phone for a chat to discuss further. Admin
