A good meal was had here. Speedy service, with pleasant waitress. The price for the quality was very good. Also the views over the harbour were entertaining, with plenty going on. Only one thing let it down was the guy behind the bar mistaking me...More

Typical Weatherspoon's pub but lacking a bit in ambience and as previously reported toilets were dirty and whole place needs a refurb.

We were staying in Poole overnight and walked along the harbour front looking for somewhere to eat. There are numerous restaurants along the front and it was a hot June evening so they were all full outside but it was quite pleasant to come inside...More

Our visit today has marred the image we have had for a long time concerning the standards expected to be provided in a national chain. We ordered our meals and drinks via their app,as there were no proper menus on the tables. We noticed several...More

On a baking hot Sunday evening it was good to get a table inside, by the open window. I got served quickly, the food arrived promptly, well cooked with excellent beer.

Okay so I feel as if the barmaid absolutely loves her job considering she was a grump the whole time she was serving and didn't crack a smile once. If you don't like your job then surely you should find a new one?

Such a shame that the lovely view is spoiled by a cold breakfast. Always the same & staff don't seem to care; in complete contrast to other Wetherspoons I have visited. And I wouldn't use the toilets.

Four of us were staying nearby so often called in here for a drink/meal. It's a typical Weatherspoon's pub and provided decent pub grub and reasonably priced drinks. It looks fairly small from the front but goes back a long way from the Quay so...More

Visitors to Poole for a couple of days and staying in the High Street, we walked down on the Quay looking for somewhere to eat. We were attracted to The Quay, the tables outside were full, a good sign on a Tuesday evening. We loved...More

Description
JD Wetherspoons The Quay is located on the bustling quayside overlooking Brownsea Island and the World's second largest natural harbour. During the summer months The Quay plays host to various events from classic cars and motorbike nights to pirate family fun days and fireworks nights! A little bit of History: The Quay was the name of the existing pub, taken over by Wetherspoon in March 2004, and has occupied this former warehouse since c1996. In Tudor times, the Quayside was called the Great Quay, even though it was less than 200 feet long! The Little Quay was added and further extended in the late 18th century. This was the New Quay, where this pub and warehouses and wharves were built.
