Missing Mariners so much during the COVID lockdown. Can’t wait to get back once reopened. Excellent food, very reasonable prices, great service. The best restaurant (of any type) in Ipswich.

This is our go to restaurant in Ipswich and as usual food and service superb. Such excellent value for money. As ever a really enjoyable experience. Joyeux noel ☺️
My husband and I booked this restaurant having read the super reviews left from other diners. Thank you all for the recommendation because we had a very memorable evening! We were greeted and led to a cosy table next to a fireplace. The menu is...online and i would suggest you choose before you go as it’s a difficult decision! I had the haddock fish cake starter and it was the best starter I have had in years. My husband was equally pleased with his satay starter. Mains for me the fish skewer it was stunning. We enjoyed the wines and took away a bottle or two to our hotel which was sold at ten pounds a bottle off the list price. The boat is cosy and has a great atmosphere... the staff were brilliant... attentive and chatty. Can’t wait to go back well done !!! Ps Xmas decorations a bit lacking that’s my only suggestion for improvement for a December dinner!!More
We came here on a wet evening and were lucky enough to book a table on the door and glad we did. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was amazing and the staff were excellent. It is possibly a little more expensive than other restaurants,...but it really is worth it. Would certainly go again.More
At last we have found a decent Restaurant in Ipswich, excellent value for money, great service from friendly knowledgeable staff, cant wait to revisit after lockdown 2
I can honestly say I have just had the most amazing meal with my family. I tried snails for the first time snd the lady who served us was very helpful. She also advised on wines and was uplifting and friendly . I can’t wait...to return in December once these businesses are permitted to open agin. When we have a table booked !More
A floating restaurant is always an attractive option when eating out. The restaurant is well laid out, accessible for a mobility impaired person and an absolute winner for a celiac as the menu offered an extensive range of gluten free food. The food was delicious...and all cooked to perfection. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Can't wait to go back after second lockdown. Well worth a visit, we couldn't fault the place at all.More
We just were walking along the marina and the idea of lunch on a boat appealed to us. The menu was a mix of traditional with some contemporary twists which sounded mouthwatering. We were not disappointed! The waitresses had Covid practices off to a tee...and we felt really comfortable with eating there. The food we could see being brought to other tables looked lovely and again made us realise this looked a good find. Prices were competitive and with a nice bottle of Muscadet to go with our meals we were really satisfied with the quality of the presentation and the exquisite taste of the starters and main courses (so much so we needed a dessert too)! Compliments to the whole team who made this a really cracking way to finish our trip to Ipswich.More
We found the restaurant through positive reviews online and it still exceeded our expectations. The prawn and pineapple chutney with sorbet was the standout dish for me. The lunch menu is great value and everything is to a high standard inlcuding the service - a...credit to Ipswich, much of which, sadly, looks as though it's being left to rot.More
An absolute gem! This is truly an amazing restaurant and unbelievable value, the food is way better than the price suggests. We were staying at a nearby hotel and the food was so good we came back the following night. Cannot recommend enough the team...are brilliant very attentive service excellent you really couldn’t ask for more.More
