Booked a meal for 7 of us for my parents birthdays! We were welcomed at the door by a lovely scottish lady, who hpsted us for the evening. We all ordered something different off the menu, but it was all amazing. No complaints! The Chef/Business owner came over to wish my parents a happy birthday and check how we all... More

We often pop to this pub for a family gathering as it's so easy to get to. It also serves a delicious carvery with all the trimmings, lovely choices of meats, vegetables and sauces, and the service is great, always friendly and smiling and they always make time to come over and chat to us. Highly recommended.

I had the chicken that was greasy and the amount of meat was minimal; mainly bone. Vegetables were few, carrots, green beans and peas. Roast parsnips undercooked... More

Absolutely delicious carvery Saturday evening! And the landlady is awesome! If only we had somewhere like this near us up in the Midlands.

Not sure how long the Wild Man has been in the present ownership but they've taken on a fair challenge. It's a very big pub capable of seating a lot more people, but the uncrowded restaurant is a pleasant change. The food is excellent. Beef, Turkey and Gammon all cooked to perfection. Vegetables fresh and appetising. The surroundings are superb... More

Thank you for your kind comments, and yes there was room for more people to sit, but it takes time to build a good reputation. Seasons greetings from the Wild Man Jill and Marta More
