The first thing you notice about this delightful cafe is the ambience. Cosy, friendly, welcoming, it is not until you've been there a few minutes you realize there is no natural light, but clever use of mirrors and lighting makes this bijou dining room appear larger than it is. With a decent variety of snacks and meals, a choice of... More

The perfect place to eat. Food all prepared to order, genuine friendly people. Well worth a visit. Support the independants.

We had one of our first dates at the Cocoa House. Nearly 5 years later we got married and wanted the Cocoa House to feature in our wedding day. The Cocoa house couldn't do enough for us as an evening wedding venue for my husband and I. We had tasty home cooked food for our 25 guests and thoroughly enjoyed... More

Love this place, can't speak highly enough of Ann the owner. I called in advance and she bought a bottle of champagne for us (pre-ordered) to accompany the meal, which by far beats the £30 the hotel would charge us for the bottle. Can't fault the place at all.

Been 3 times now, once with friends for Sunday lunch, recommended it to colleagues who have twice in a week! Slightly off the beaten track, so not as obvious as those on Mostyn Street. Excellent value for money, service very friendly but not pushy, food hot and generous served on hot plates - can't abide tepid food on cold plates.... More

The meal was excellent! Just the thing for a midday break when two ladies are out shopping. The Cottage pie was to die for!! The atmosphere of the Restaurant was calming and relaxing. The service was great too, friendly accommodating staff. Prices are reasonable and this reflects in the meals and drinks where good quality food is served. I am... More

Visited in September '16. An extremely well-run establishment 'hidden' in a back street behind NatWest bank. A lovely atmosphere, with excellent food. I had the plaice and chips. Cooked perfectly, It would be easy to pass this establishment by;.. but just step inside!.
