So we decided to give these tea rooms a bash on a flying visit to Eastbourne. The sandwiches and cake slices were just average the scones and tea were above average. Decor was dated and needs a facelift. Service was pretty decent. At £9 per head I wasn't expecting miracles and I didn't get any, nor was it awful.

Visited in January in cold day with beautiful sunset, this tea room is old fashioned but in good meaning of the expression, lovely chandelier, extremely good sea view and yummy scones. Definitely good value for money little break in pier walk.

Used to be excellent value, the cream teas were great. It is not as though the cream teas were cheap, but they were lovely. BUT, this week felt VERY aggrieved to charged £10.50 for 2 small pots of tea, 1 fruit shoot, 1 decaf coffee and i cappuccino, NEVER ever had coffee at £2+ and £2.50 in such tiny cups... More

The tea rooms seem very grand and welcoming from outside with elaborate chandeliers. Inside they seem a little less grand but still fine. Betty's of Harrogate it certainly isn't!! It was quiet the day we went and we assumed as no one greeted us that it was self service. We waited a few moments to see if either of the two... More

Nice tea and good value cakes / afternoon tea etc. However, over half of the lightbulbs were out, there is obviously enough to light the place, but they're for decoration. The service was unnoticeable. Also, it feels very elegant and welcoming, but there is a random shop for cheap imported handbags and flip flops, giving the place a cheap, rough... More

We visited this tea-room every day on the three day visit to Eastbourne. The staff were very friendly and it is a large room with beautiful chandelier and well set out tables and chairs. The windows give a good view of the sea. We tried the traditional cream tea on day one which was good. On days two and three... More

Had a nice walk on the pier and decided to have a coffee. What a mistake to make.Interesting decor but no clue on how to make coffee. Had a cappuccino and an ordinary coffee but both were weak and overly sweet. So glad we decided not to eat there if they can't get the basics right

OMG what a true pleasure to come here. Service was excellent and the tea and scones was divine. Maybe a little pricey for some but for how it was presented I was more than happy to pay. I visited the toilet inside to be fair was a little unclean but it was extremely busy when we visited. Def go again

They have a good selection of fruit teas. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere helps you to relax and enjoy your break. Of course the view from the Pier is beautiful.

Recently refurbished traditional tearoom with superbly elegant interior in the middle of Eastbourne pier. Service and drinks excellent with wonderful views of Beachy Head a bonus.
