We visited Troll and opted for a vegan 5-course menu which was delicious. Big props to the staff for accomodating our dietary preferences in such a great way!

Very good food, nice people. We had the 3 course set menu, with deer, fish and dessert. Staff were polite and pleasant. Nice view from restaurant towards Trondheim seaside.

This was recommended to us by a local resident and it didn’t disappoint. Loved the set menu, it meant that you had to try local dishes and very delicious they were too. Staff were super friendly and very passionate about their job and the restaurant.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, and much value for the money compared to some similar restaurants in Trondheim. Go here if you're feeling in the mood for some top shelf seafood.

Thought this would be "tourist trap" type restaurant due to the name, but not so. Tried it, as on a Saturday many other places were booked. Very short menu, fish or meat. The troll fish was Halibut that night & it was excellently prepared. Great...dessert--on the set menu.More

My wife and I chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Troll, with two very good friends. It was an excellent choice! We thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Super-tender pork cheeks to start. Beautifully cooked hake - moist and flavourful, without falling apart. Passion-fruit tart...with compote. All excellent. Friendly, helpful and timely service, with no rush. We have been lucky enough to eat at Troll perhaps 8 or 10 times over the last few years - and never been disappointed.More

Service was exceptional. The three course dinner was very tasty. The atmosphere was just amazing. Loved it. Especially the halibut, was fantastic.

Nice location at centralstation and river with colorful river houses. Old wood building. Took 5 course menu, last 3 was better than first 2. Restaurant full on a wednesday, many locals. We went arround 6pm, buth they were already booked up. Buth they organised us a table outside it was wonderful. We tooked the 5 course menu, the plattes looked great, the menue was delicous with some new things we never had. The service was really...friendly and attentive. Excellent food and good service all the way!! Nice restaurant with a great vibe. Perfect location by the river.
