The best Carbonara I've ever tasted! The owner was serviceminded and humorous, and his wife a great chef⭐⭐⭐. I give the best recommendations to this small italian restaurant.

The food was great, but the lasagna was cold in the middle, appeared frozen… but the food itself had great flavor and the portions where big!

Lovely and cute area on the inside, very nice staff, but I must say the food wasn’t as good as I could remember. However I still love their bread. They’re Italian food is pretty good, but the stakes are not recommended.

Good food, reasonable prices for Norway. Good service, pizzas big enough, so deffinitly a place worth going to.

I will not warn you away, but I could not say it would be my first choice for pizza. I could appreciate the thin crust dough and the effort at quality ingredients, like feta cheese and ruccola, but it was not to my wife's liking...at all, and we had a split opinion. In the end, I fairly gave Napoli a three because the pizza was passable, certainly not the worse that I have had in Trondheim, and it is not that far off from a real Neopolitan pizza actually (the city that claims to have invented pizza). And yes, as another reviewer mentioned, there is a particular taste trend in pizza in Norway (meat and bearnaise dipping sauce, kebab, Mexican, or pepperoni, ham and pineapple, which they call arabiata for some reason). I suppose they are offering what customers want and this menu is pretty ubiquitous across Norway. Then it comes down to who does the best version of it. The restaurant on a corner lot is small, and I think could pass for a more enchanting and romantic Italian eatery with a little decorative embellishment. Because it is so conveniently located near a central transportation and hotel hub, I think it does brisk business with random walk-ins. I think though that it competes with the larger chain restaurant nearby which has more curb appeal.More

The menu outside seemed nice so we went there. It was a really bad choice ... I took the prosciutto salad and I received a salad with mais mushrooms from a can paprika and awful ham like the pieces you buy in the store. No...prosciutto at all they just put that to make it sound fancy. My boyfriend took a plate of marinated chicken with pita and fries, he get a kebab with unfrozen fries and awful chicken and sauce. And we paid 200kr for this chicken and 125kr for the salad. Everything was terrible, I saw the cook in the kitchen eating something with his fingers while cooking. The waiter was not welcoming at all. A place to avoid, look at the picture to see what to expect there...More

We had arrived in Trondheim after our ~12 hrs in airports and on planes. This place was right near our hotel. The large pizzas are very big and could probably feed 3 people who weren't starving like we were. Would definitely recommend.

I've been to this restaurant before and I did not like it at all. That review can be read (in Norwegian) here: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g190499-d809996-r211564579-Napoli-Trondheim_Trondheim_Municipality_Sor_Trondelag_Central_Norway.html I accepted an invitation to go to dinner with some friends – without asking which restaurant they had booked a table at....Lo' and behold it was the second worst restaurant I've ever been to – which I originally had no intention of ever returning to. However, not one to throw sticks in the wheels of other people's plans I went along and decided I would go there with an open mind. My food was OK this time. I had an open-face beef calzone and it actually tasted alright. One or two of the people I was with did not like their food. The rest was content. Which must be considered an improvement as the last time I ate there the food was barely edible. The service however did not fail to disappoint as it was still as utterly bad as the first time – if not even worsened by the passage of time. The only smiles you'll see here is the ones you bring yourself. The crescendo of which was when the waiter decided that the best way to gather all the used plates was having them shipped to him while he was standing right behind my chair (to the point of discomfort) and started stacking them over my head and down on the table right in front of me. I had to lower my head so as not to be in the way. The servers base mood was one of sulkiness and this read to me as an epitomic event where the waiter in a state of total disregard for his customers seemed to go out of his way to perform bad service. Even though the food I got was better this time around the service was next to insufferable and I find it highly unlikely that I will ever return.More

Lovely little Italian & by Norwegian standards very reasonable! We had a really nice lasagna & a beer. Other people around us were enjoying a variety of pizzas, spaghetti Bol & steak dishes which all looked delicious. Really helpful even with our total lack of...language skills in both Norwegian & Italian!More
