If you want a new and interesting sushi experience, you should definitely visit Food Asylum! The place has a great variety of sushi with a lot of interesting and tasty flavours. It has a cool and relaxing atmosphere, but average service in my opinion. However, it is quite expensive and not the place to go if you're on a budget.

Been there several times now, both in business and private - and it is pure and simple excellent. You can never fail if you bring guests here. It is a sushi restaurant, and definitely one of Norways best in this respect. Had it been located in the capitol city of Norway (Oslo) it would most likely have been a contendor... More

Every year Kristiansand got this week with 'eat for 100,-' This time of the year it's chaos for waiters/waitresses, but Food Asylum did it really well handling stressed guests. And of course the food was delicious as always. A big star for Food Asylum as the best sushi restaurant in Kristiansand!

The food here is definitely the main reason for choosing this restaurant. The food is plainly delicious, tasty and is really the best sushi I've tried in Norway. The atmosphere is also really comfortable, as it is open, not too much ornaments and you really get the feeling of being in a seafood restaurant. The only negative experience were that... More

Positive: The sushi is good. Especially the signature-sushi was exceptional with harmony of flavours. The rest of the sushi we tried (sushi deuxe) tasted from average to great. Im not a sushi-expert but I wasn't too impressed with everything on the plate, although I think the sushi served was definitely better than what you can expect in an average sushi-restaurant... The best sushi in town, but also the most expensive sushi in town. Very cool atmosphere - even in the restrooms. Worth to check out!

I was out with clients and we were met by friendly waiters who showed good knowledge of the menu and customer care. The food was very good and I really would recommend this place. My best recommendation

Back when this place opened, I loved to go here for a higher quality feel of sushi as it was a big step up from anything else nearby. Their quality is still good in some sense, but their menu is so stale. Nothing new has happaned here, and the selection of different fish/toppings for nigiri and gunkan sushi is among... More

I took my sushi manic girlfriend here and we spent a very nice time in a cozy restaurant and with great sushi. For me personaly I love their tempura special sushi. One of my absolute favorite in Kristiansand and for my girlfriend which is not from this city.
