Visited place Sunday afternoon after a whole day walking around the city. No reservation but still got a table for two hours. Was very happy to hear that. But Recommend to make a reservation. The restaurant is recommended in Michelin guide. It got quite full in a one hour. Sitting alone I was suddenly in the full restaurant. Attentive staff... More

Excellent restaurant in a back street on east side of the city center. Serves Nordic inspired food. Four menu set is good value for money. Attentive service. Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant again recently and wonder what happened since the last time we were here? The fantastic service from before was replaced with a cute but very surly server! We were a group in a really good mood and a small dose of charm from our server could have gone a long, long way!! Thomas however, was pretty helpful... More

We dropped in late after all servings had been made, but they still let us come in for a late night dinner. The dishes were all equally fantastic. Service was impeccable and the food was made by heart. Will never forget the creamy whitefish roe pasta. OMG. Highly recommend this restaurant for Scandinavian food lovers.

Very interesting and surprising restaurant...modern twist and tastes nordic style. All cooked or not to perfection, original local produce fresh from the market...five dishes later all satisfied...bravo young chef and his crew! Great, welcoming service and timing despite small kitchen...

Arakataka is hidden gem in the centre of Oslo. The menu is built up of a range of medium sized servings, both meat, seafood and vegetarian. We had the 4 course menu together with the selected vines. A well balanced composition with a great vine selection. At Arakataka, you cant go wrong.

As one of Oslo´s first affordable gourmets, Arakataka has been around since 2001. Unfortunately it feels like the restaurant hasn´t been able to keep up with the ongoing additions to Oslo´s affordable gourmets. With a cross over selection, vary from new nordic cuisine to asian inspired dishes, it still offers a great meal. But it´s not as exciting as it... More

* If you want to have a full dinner, you have to make a reservation first. Otherwise you have to sit on the bar section with not much selection of food, only the finger food/ snack. You can't order the full dinner there. * The place is cozy and have open bar, where you can see how they make the... More

Very nice restaurant, and quite informal atmosphere, which you don`t find that often in a gourmet restaurant. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is quiet and nice and the food is absolutely amazing. Best gourmet experience I`ve ever had in Oslo! The price is not too bad considering this is high quality ingredients and dishes are presented as a real... More

Despite being a fun tongue twisting name to say, Arakatakaka has a great menu that changes often and focuses on fresh seasonal products. The results are both creative and often lovely with a huge amount of variety. To boot the environment was very cozy and set in a good neighbourhood, while the service was quite friendly. The only downside, was... More
