Very goos food, in the city centre and easy to find, very friendly staff, and overally good impression for my first time eating there. I would go back again. The only negative was probably the portions for me, just very noneexistance.... but good otherwise.

In Oslo over the last years, several restaurants with new chefs have emerged. This is a great pleasure for all those who love good food. Still, experience is something that is necessary to be able to maintain a high level throughout everything - and that is just what Chef and Bocuse d'Or gold medal winner Bent Stiansen has. This place... More

One of the better restaurants in Oslo, the food and service is exelent, so is the selection of wines. A bit expensive but worth every krone.

I have for a long time wanted to visit Stattholdegården. My expectations was exceeded with encellete food and good wine.

Fantastic laid back, but classy restaurant. Perfect for dining with your business associates and clients. Dress code not needed, but I recommend dressing up a bit. Great food, excellent service and fantastic building! Usually fully booked, so reservations are usually required to get a table. I could eat there every weekend.

We ate upstairs, not in the basement. A classic interior with rosettes and stucco, tastefully decorated and with amongst others, period colours. We ordered a 6-course experience (and it really was) with a wine package that my fellow diners gave a resounding thumbs up! I had the juice version which can risk being a series of apple juices for each... More

In the midst of October 2015 we reserved a table for two at the highly respected Michelin-starred STATHOLDERGAARDEN. The expectations were accordingly adjusted. However did the disappointment turn out somewhat grieve, and out of pure embarrassment I haven´t been able to produce their well deserved review until a year later. We were received heartily welcome by the head sommelier and... More

The athmosphere is excellent, romantic style with flowers, chandeliers etc. The food is of course very good, even if you get food you normally dont like, you will like it here, I promise. Service is professional and you feel like a important guest. I will recomend the set menu, the food is so tasty and varied, and so beatiful to... More

A very nice experience and an excellent meal at Statholdergaarden. Service and food was far better than any other meals I have been eating in any restaurant.

The food tastes well, it's all very delicate and well decorated. I like the mushroom, it's very tasty. And the soft chocolate is very unique. I like the sauce of the bread very much, it's the best bread sauce I've tried in Norway. While considered the price, it's not that value-for-money.

Thank Wing M

One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
