Visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner, this +/- 40 seat restaurant was packed. A small, but well composed and reasonably priced menu, combining local Norwegian products with an interesting selection of wines. We tried the three course set menu with the selected wines to go with it, but changed the soup for a delicious crab salad served with a... More

This is such a great place to eat with a very inviting atmosphere along with a great soundtrack. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is exquisite. The food prices are high and several of the entrees are very small but flavours will blow you away. The King Prawn salad is incredibly tasty and is a good size.... More

Superb dining in an understated setting. No pretensions which further emphases the strength of the cooking. Run by young, vibrant people whom clearly are very knowledgeable which gives the place a very relaxed atmosphere. The menu was well balanced between starters and mains in choice and you certainly wouldn't go away hungry. So good we are going back tomorrow. Coming... More

We celebrated an event here with 12 friends. The service was informal and relaxed. Overall the food was great. The starter was decent enough, could been more exiting. Mains was perfect with three types of wild sheep meats. Small dessert, but a nice finish. Interesting wine pairing also. Overall a recipe for success.

Great food, services, and ambience! Impressed with the careful matching of the sides with the main, as well as wine -matching. For HK people's standard, it can taste a bit strong, but overall everything is great and enjoyable, worth trying!

Since the last time we visited Lokk they have changed the menu and food concept. Now they offer a broader variety of very nice dishes, small and larger. We had a very nice evening here with good friends and I think they have improved since last year. A good selection of decent beers always make me happy, and they also... More

We were delighted to stumble across Lokk on our first night in Oslo. Beautiful food from a small but perfect menu, we both had the soup to start which was absolutely the star of the show (chestnut on the night we visited). Reasonably priced on the scale of Oslo, quite dear by Irish standards. Would definitely pay it another visit... More

We loved this restaurant. It's run by young people with imagination and verve. We had no reservation, only a second hand recommendation from a nearby fish restaurant that was just closing for the evening when we arrived at 7:30. They steered us to Lokk, not far away, and we were so welcomed, so well treated. Amazing (and very fresh) cod,... More

Very different and original.. We were there at Easter weekend and the usual limited choice described by others dropped to no choice (ok to be fair there was no choice on main menu and there is no a la carte, but one other soup and one snack were offered)... But that didn't matter and they were helpful eg adapting to... More

LOKK is the only restaurant doing ufin dining. It directly translates to "unfine dining". Not a suprise that we're the only ones doing it as we came up with it. It means we've taken what we love from fine dining; the passion and high quality of the food, wine and beer with the knowledge backing it. And we removed what we don't like; strict dress code, arrogant service, and overly expensive food and wine. We would, if pressed to put our food on a shelf, say it's like a viking: it springs from Norway, but we take what we love and want from the rest of the world.

Here you can kick back with a warming soup, have a date wating a four course meal with the matching wine&beer menu, or take the whole office (if it's a small office:) out without bankrupting it.
