One place we always enjoy for a casual dinner. We enjoy the Italian cuisine and the owners singing. As a side the owner also rents a cabin for weekends and decided to try it. Great that it's less than an hour out of islo in...a super location for walks and swimming. To be repeated.More

We've been coming to this restaurant for years, on and off. Been a while since we had the opportunity, but went back last Friday and was welcomed as old friends even though we didn't book a table in advance. Service quick and pleasant, carbonara really...tasty and steaming hot as served. All food in this restaurant is home made and the atmosphere unlike any other place in Oslo. If you stay into the evening, the owner will perform old Italian songs, which adds even more to the atmosphere. You should book a table and stay the evening when In Oslo.More

I was quite disappointed about the food tonight . It Took a long while to get it, but anyway . I ordered a pizza with vegetables . The ingredients on the pizza were Tasty but the dough was not at all im sorry to say...! It felt like it was either frozen or not home made anyway . My friend ordered tagliatelle and was also not satisfied . The sauce was very soggy and the tagliatelle very hard . The atmosphere otherwise pleasant , and also the people work there . Too bad really.More

Tagliatelle too hard..?? The pasta is home made and is not possible to have hard because they cook in one minute...That explain the sense of your revue. Pizza frozen ? Next time give a look in the kitchen, is open, just to prevent this kind...More

I've been here many times and am delighted with the food. Everything is perfect here, food is on top and best quality. When you enter the restaurant it's like you visit Italy itself. Owner of the restaurant greets you at the entrance with smile and...talks very friendly. You can even ask him to sing and he will do it with pleasure. But the most amazing thing we like here is food. Haven't enjoyed food like this for ages. Chef cooks everything on her own and the most important thing, she cooks it with love. I recommend to visit Roald & Umberto and have a great time here. Thanks to the Owner and the Chef for atmosphere and great food.More

I was craving for pasta tonight, and I was around the area. So I decided to come at the last minute. The old Italian guy at the door (the owner) was so rude that I wanted to leave immediately. I told him that I called,...he was like “I don’t know”. Then he pointed at the menu and told me to “take one”, and pointed at one table and said, “sit here”. No “please”, no other words. Cold, rude, arrogant. What the heck? if I have to self-service myself, I’d rather order take away. I had been to this place once with friends. I was impressed by the hard-working and friendly waitresses but I was surprised that they’re were not many people dining here. I guess I found the reason tonight. If he doesn’t know how to welcome his guests properly, he can’t run a successful restaurant. everything was ruined by that old dude, though the waitresses were friendly and the food was okay. If it wasn’t a last minute decision, I would not come here and this will be the last time I will ever dine here for the experience I had. There are so many good Italian restaurants in Oslo: Ruffino, Campo do Fiori, Mamma Pizza, Maggiamo, just to mention a few. Go to these places if you want to be treated and welcomed as you would be in Italy!More

The only place that i’m returning to, time after time. Small place, sweet music, sweet people, hard workers. This is the place where you chill, you spend some time, drink nice peroni and a bottle of wine (liter bottles!) (cheap!) and eat good traditional italian...food. and you respect that such a small place with small kitchen and lot of guests at the same time, have limits, but also strive for the nice atmosphere and comfort of the guests. I recommend the Gnocchi, the Risotto and everything that is Bolognese. Yes. Lovely place; the concept, the aura, the people, the food, love it!More

We were welcomed by a friendly girl as soon as we arrived, and got good help with the menu to sort our preferences. The food arrvied to our table quite fast, and we think the dishes were very authentic to Italy. They took dietary requetsts...seriously as we ordered pasta thinking it was vegan, then the cook Xenia came out telling us it contained eggs and suggested to change the order. Overall very pleasent venue, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly owner (Dino) who we had a chat to at the end. We ordred olives, pasta with lamb and paprika, pizza with aubregine and zucchini and coffee + tiramisu to finish off. This place has a true Lady & the Tramp feel to it, so for a romantic date you should definitely head here! Fair price for what you get. Best regards Ingrid & CarlosMore

My boyfriend and I went here this weekend and honestly everything started out so nicely but unfortunately it took us over an hour to get our food:( we were so hungry so the mood started to drop.. we ordered tagliatelle Bolognese and Carbonara and the...Bolognese was really good- I would actually come back for that- and give it a second try.. I liked how small and unique the restaurant were, we sat outside and enjoyed the sun, But pssst: a tip, maybe cut down the Oregano on the carbonara, it almost started tasting a lot like pizza😅 Overall: want to give them another shot! Maybe it was a very busy day- I would love to make this my regular neighborhood spot.More

We entered this small, cozy reastaurant and were met by italian music and the owner and his wife. The owner, a symphatic and funny man, shared some of his stories from his life in Italy. We needed not wait a long time for our meals...to arrive, and they were delicious! Classic, homemade italian food, and you get a lot for your money. This place is filled with only good vibes and employees.More

The atmosphere was cozy, with a small restaurant. The food took some time, but when it got there, the pizza, was the best I remember eating in Oslo. Full of taste, juicy, but with a nice crisp. Highly recommended.
