Two nights dinner here at this restaurant. Had a burger one night and local cod fish the next. Both very good meals. Good service.

I don't really post written-reviews, however, in this case, it is a must. On the 25 of January, my friends and I went to eat out at Kitchen Table. On that night, we were served by Ruta - hands down, one of the best service...we've ever received! She seemed very knowledgeable about dishes, patient (😉) and extremely helpful with a choice. Our starter, prepared by Chef Oscar - bruschetta - was the perfect way to kick off our evening. Well-balanced flavours and the right texture of this dish conquered our hearts. Moving on, it was time for the King of the Night -seafood risotto. Chef Sonder prepared it the way it should be prepared. Took me a few years back to my Italian holidays… Really yummy! We totally have sweet tooth and we couldn't say no to dessert, created by Chef Norbi. This dessert should be considered as an example for all desserts ever made! Heaven & masterpiece on the plate. I can still feel the taste at the tip of my tongue :))Thank you! 🍰 A huge shout out to Nick, who was treating us with well-selected and perfectly matching wines. Without a doubt - the Kitchen Table at Klarion Hotel is the best place in Tromso to go to for a super tasty and fancy dinner! Totally recommend! ❤️More

I was there yesterday with my friends and it was definitely one of the best evenings in Tromsø! Food was amazing! I can 100% recommend seafood risotto! But what makes this evening so special was the perfect service. I would like to thanks Ruta, Juan...and Rex for making this evening so special and for the best service we ever had. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing! If you are wondering if it’s a good choice I can assure there is no better place to eat in Tromsø! Thank you once again guys!More

My husband and I have been staying at the Clarion The Edge Hotel and decided to try out the restaurant upstairs this evening for some dessert. To start, we were greeted by smiling staff and felt very well cared for right from the beginning. We...went in hoping to try a unique dessert and decided to go with the Buckthorn & White Chocolate. To our surprise our waiter and waitress (Ruta & Rex) decided to bring us an extra special dessert with not only the Buckthorn but also bits of cheesecake, brownies, macarons, and chocolates. It was so lovely and we felt so special. I can't compliment the staff enough. They were so kind and enthusiastic. We were later helped by a waiter named Juanjo who was also excellent and helpful. I have to applaud the Clarion for superb employees all around. This is just to name a few but everyone we have come in contact with throughout our stay at the hotel has been stupendous. Thank you so much for making us feel warm and welcome (:More

We anticipated that a new year's eve dinner in Tromso would not only require a booking but also cost an arm and a leg. Ordinarily we are quite organised but it slipped our mind this year and so we booked Kitchen and Table as it...had an availability (in the earliest seating, which was 4pm. We didn't mind this as it was already dark and felt like dinner time. We also had evening plans so this worked out really well). But we are glad that we did because we had a wonderful dining experience. For entree, we had a lovely salmon. Although the portion was very small, the taste was all there. The highlight was definitely the reindeer main that was accompanied with potatoes, mushrooms and other vegetables. For desert, my husband had tiramisu and I had three scoops of differebt sorbet. We enjoyed the entire experience as the service was timely and the cost was fair in Tromso. We will definitely be back in the future!More

In all fairness,we did have dinner on New Year's Day, just expecting a bit more excellence and attention to detail (based on what we'd read) , food was good.

During a quiet evening, we choose to eat at the hotel Claridion the Edge restaurant. The service was good, pleasant. The menu is small but you find what you want. Mention to the vegan or vegi plates. I take a burger. It's my average way...to compare between each hotel I have made. The result is: good but a bit cold, a plate in wood not really useful. So this burger is average. The ceasar salad of my wife was good. I found the price high and for a quiet evening serve a cold burger not good. So good but could be better.More

Hi, and thank you for the feedback. May we ask if you dined in the restaurant itself or in the bar?

It's long past my bedtime, but I simply must share a few words about our experience at Kitchen & Table a few hours ago. 1) They've partnered with a great hotel - the Clarion Edge is exquisitely styled, so the moment you enter the building,...you're already being treated to a first-class experience. The hotel staff were wonderful - they politely directed us to the restaurant (just above their heads!) and offered a nice chat after the meal. 2) Even though we did not have a reservation, the host, Nick, greeted us delightfully and prepared a table for us straight away. 3) Upon entering the restaurant space, it is immediately clear that the designer truly cared about their visitors' dining experience. Every detail, from the long pub table for social gatherings to the tableside fireplace, was ideal for the space. Every viewing angle offered something different and was pleasant. It felt like home. 4) Speaking of pleasant, I loved the music. Downbeat chill is always preferred for me personally and the conversational volume is perfect for any restaurant. I strongly dislike eating in places where the music is so loud that I have to shout to have a conservation at the table. 5) We received our water and bread (muffins) rather quickly. I've been drinking all the water I can in Norway and they kept our bottle full. 6) I *highly* recommend the "Beef It" appetizer, which was obviously prepared with care by a chef who knows how to keep the "tender" in a tenderloin. All 3 of us would have been happy to have this cut and preparation as our entrée. 7) For the main courses, we had the cod and risotto. All the flavors were wonderful. If I could offer any suggestion at all, it would be for the risotto to be just a tiny bit softer. But I know saying this is almost sacrilege in the risotto community, as so many agree that risotto should be al dente and thus a bit firm when you bite it. I honestly would not change anything else. The portion size was perfect as well. 8) Though I did not catch his name, our server was incredibly attentive all evening. I am always drawn to hard-working people, especially those who love their work, and it was clear that delivering smiles to his clients is something he truly enjoys. 9) The price was unreal. I couldn't believe our entire meal was under 1000 NOK. I would have been happy to pay twice as much without a second thought. Receiving that kind of value at such a classy place only heightened the experience all the more for our group. 10) I didn't want it to end, but finally, we had to leave and immediately made plans to return tomorrow. I'm sure there are other great restaurants in Tromsø we will miss out on as a result, but when you find something you love this much, there's no reason not to show your appreciation by bringing them repeat business.More

Everything about this place was average, from the service to the food. Main dishes were a bit pretentious and very small. They ran out of a lot of options and as they didn’t have many to start with, left us with not many options. Nothing...special and pricy.More
