So we have visited lots and lots of restaurants when traveling, but nothing beats this one. I love the down to earth atmosphere, and the food is just exquisite. Eva-Linda is so warm and makes you feel like you've known her forever. Such a lovely woman. We have been there several times. They change the menu every week and they... More

The restaurant seemed closed when I arrived, but it's just their dim atmosphere. The best thing about the place was the service. They were very attentive and invisible at the same time. A perfect combo! They suggested I try "Lofotpils", a light local beer. And it was 5 stars. I should write a review only about that bottle of beer.... More

A small menu which they change every fortnight. All the waiters have tasted the menu and all the wines that go with, so they really know what they are serving. I recomend going for a 3- to 7-course package, including the wine. You get a different wine with every course and they match very well. When you sit down, you're... More

I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life, from small local restaurants in Provence to Gordon Ramseys flagship restaurant in London with 3 michelin stars. But this restaurant is really the top of the lot. Using mostly just local ingredients (even their butter is salted with salt from the famous saltstraumen) and serving the most deliciously composed... Taken here for a business dinner after a long and testing 12 days on the go. Part of me would rather have just gone to bed but, had I done so, I would have missed an truly outstanding experience. Fresh local ingredients prepared with skill and precision and served and presented with passion. The fish was amongst the best I... More

I think this restaurant should be reviewed by the Michellin guide. This is an extremely good restaurant with local food and high service quality. Hurry to visit the place before the owners leave town for good this autumn.

I disembarked from the Hurtigruten ship after three nights from Bergen, which suited my travel frame, and took the night train back to Oslo. That has to be one of the world's greatest train rides. I Emailed ahead for a reservation, as the reviews here stated that they are necessary on weekends. This wasn't the case, as oddly enough, July... More

Celebrated my husband's birthday with a seven course dinner at Smak. It was very good! Local ingredients, excellent choices of wine.
