We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try on a Thursday night. We were greeted by a man we believe to be one of the owners who was graciously apologetic, “we have no tables tonight until very late.” As we looked around to see what we were missing, the phone rang. It was a... More

This restaurant is off the beaten path a little over a mile from the city center. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the servers were attentive. In general, the food was delicious, the service was great and it was a lovely meal. Nothing in particular stood out about this restaurant which is why I'm giving it a four star... More

This is a good restaurant, which offers mid- range dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The complimentary bread is quite good. Our mains- the ombrina with pumpkin and almond purees, and lamb with mint pea puree and polenta were really good. The dessert- walnut cake was excellent. The wine was really good too. The service was excellent. I really liked this... More

We loved the atmosphere on a Saturday evening - buzzing with people but not too loud, we loved the food - modern creative Austrian cuisine and the wine selection. We had a great dinner with friends, they loved it so much they have returned 3 times since then!

We were recommended this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Sat at an outside table and enjoyed great service and food. who thinks of having cauliflower brulee on the menu? It was silky smooth and tasty. mains were great as well.

We chose this restaurant because we are seafood lovers and found it after filtering TA to show only mid-range restaurants. This is a fine dining restaurant and, while that is certainly no bad thing, it is not the type of experience we typically enjoy. It was rather formal and stiff, for our tastes. Having said that, the staff are very... More

Took a party of 17 business men and all enjoyed the meal, atmosphere, and superb service. Can't say enough about the excellent wait staff. Bill very reasonable for 3 courses, wine, beer, and coffees. Book ahead, we tried to pop back in the next night but they were packed.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
