Had evening meal here, nice atmosphere, segregated area for smokers so no issue with vile smell whilst eating. Food is good and bit different, fried pancakes were lovely, husband had the Spitzal very filling, very well priced and service was excellent, give it a go.

Wien is famous of its friendly service which is elevated here and they make you feel like a long lost family member. Food is simple and tasty, prices are below the average. I personally love the bar-like decor, so Franz's little restaurant is the perfect getaway from the busy inner city for tourists who want a taste of the local... More

We came here for dinner on our first night in Vienna and I was very impressed. The schnitzel was amazing and the staff are really nice. Its a very cool bar and its nice that the smoking area is kept separate. Great place to visit!

We found this little Gem on our first of three nights in Vienna. It's located near the Naschmarkt Market. Great atmosphere with friendly bar staff. We visited all three nights and ate there on one of the nights. Traditional cuisine and very reasonably priced.

Quiet place, very tasty food. I had the dry cured ham and Gouda pie, which was a puffed pastry stuffed with ham cheese and tomatoes. It came with a moderate sized salad. Wonderful. Not too greasy, very flavorful. This was pub food at its best!

Don't let yourself get dragged into one of the restaurants in the Nashmarkt when this place is just round a nearby corner and opposite the Third Man Museum (sadly only open on Saturdays). It may be pub grub but standards are high and local wine by the glass is cheap so anmn enjoyable visit is guaranteed.

Popped in here with friends last saturday. It is a rare beast a non smoking pub in Vienna. Excellent selection of beers I drank a Czech Beer began with "W" but could not pronounce the name. Food is good, I will visit again

Went for a quiet dinner before our last evening in Vienna. Don't dine in the first district if you are in Vienna. This place was local, inexpensive, with delicious food. The schnitzel was on point and the spaetzle/cheese (think mac and cheese but better) was decadently rich and yummy. Great Austrian beers, cool exposed brick interior, and not a word... More

Went to Vienna on holiday with my friend and was recommended Franz restaurant by a Autrian air hostess, what a recommendation. We went one evening for a drink, and met the most wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. Also we got to meet quite a few local people who where so friendly to us and made us feel at home....
