This full service Italian restaurant is a bit deceptive from the outside, but is worth making reservations. Some think the service is lacking, but is is very Austrian. You will enjoy everything on their menu, even the pizza. But order something else.

My second visit. First was in summer outside which was fabulous, this time inside. This is a proper Italian restaurant not a pizza joint ( although they do sell pizzas). Food is excellent particularly the fish. We shared a whole sea bass and thoroughly enjoyed it.Wine list is good and reasonably priced for Vienna. Service is friendly and efficient.

Located in the center, not far from graben in a quite little street with nice terrase. Started with a good looking joint starter of different cold / warm bits, overall ok but not very tasty, my main was grilled octupus that was hardly eatable, no taste, very small and far too expensive (25 euro). My colleaque had the seabass which... More

Dining outdoors in a small square with wonderful fish platters. Appetizers are varied and of very high quality. Although the quiet location is terrific for couples, it is also ideal for large groups.

good restaurant for local people. Not know to tourists although sits right in the downtown area. 100 meters from main shopping street. Piazzas are the best in town. Fish is also good. Moderately priced.

Looking at the other reviews I am surprised. We visited in a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was full. The service was not rushed so you may say it was slow but for us it was perfect. The food was delicious, we shared a platter of starters which were amazing and I had a beautiful piece of salmon as the... More

Looking for somewhere to eat late I was pleased to be told a pizza could still be managed. . I have been living in Vienna since 1999 and have visited them on more than a few occasions over the years. The staff were as ever courteous and attentive. The pizza was, I am sorry to say, a disappointment. The crust... More

Read the reviews, made the decision and on reflection it was not a good one. We did not make a reservation and when we asked for a table for two we got the impression that we were being a nuisance. We were shown to the table and menus et cetera delivered promptly. The food arrived on time and was of... More

Typing as we wait for the bill. Arrived, sat down, 17 minutes to order drinks, also ordered food. Warm white wine arrived (5 minutes later), forgot the red wine. Pizzas arrived seconds later (despite us not having drinks), asked for red wine and ice for warm white wine. 7 minutes later, asked for red wine and ice for warm white... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
