We stumbled upon this lovely little pub while wandering around the alleys of Vienna. The wait staff are friendly, happy to help you through the Austrian experience and actually seem glad to be doing their jobs. We visited several times during our stay in Vienna....More

The atmosphere is great in this place. It's almost as if you walk into an medieval-times pub. Even though it's already mentioned in the Lonely Planet you do not feel like you ran into a tourist trap. Great Wienerschnitzel!

This is one of the most authentic and historic eateries in Vienna! I even tried the apricot schnapps (grappa?) After several visits; all the food was delicious! Hubby loved the Strum and dark beer...

We had a lovely atmospheric dinner in the candle-lit crypt:I would recommend asking to be seated there. The staff were very helpful and friendly; the food was delicious. If I'm ever back in Vienna I will definitely go back again.

A local's special & a challenge to find, but when you do it is something...eat downstairs in the cave & if your truly hungry ,try a Pork Knee( Knuckle)..it can easily feed two as can the schnitzels. The food was excellent as was the service. It...More

This restaurant is small and difficult to find, but worth the trouble! Google maps saved the day. The food was delicious and traditional and the atmosphere quaint. However, charging for each pretzel they bring to the table seemed cheap & petty; the cost should just...More

The food is excellent and reasonably price. This is where the locals go not the tourists. We were told about this from a local, who says he takes friends here. They do have menus in English

We had dinner at Bretzlg'wolb with some friends. The waiter was nice and food was decent. However the bill was a surprise and a lot more expensive than Lonely Planet says: 5.60€ for 1 lt of tap water, 1.80 for EACH bretzl (not for the...More

I haven't seen one but by all means phone them and talk. There is plenty of choice on the menu and it's all good. So fear not. We had excellent food when we returned for dinner.
