As usually , Govinda is always an excellent place to taste vegetarian dishes. This place of meeting , not only a food place, is manned by a real kindly staff that they welcome the guest like a private home . Excellent daily menu with little variations but extremely accurate as for mixing of ingredients and aspect.

But I do think, that your comment, that it's like eating in a waiting room, is not true and not fair. Maybe you should have checked out my place... More

We were in search for some Indian Restaurant in Vienna, and thought it will be a good option as we were in the Zentrum. A big disappointment with the Food, they just had two items with rice, not enough quantity, that too tasted bad. Being an Indian vegetarian, I know that how delicious a vegetarian food can be. As we... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
