The restaurant is quite small and cozy, you have a selection of limited cakes to choose from, so if you are looking for diversity you might want to find another place. I can say that if you do choose one of the cakes, you wont be disappointed.

Rori's is absolutely great! All cakes look so good, it's really difficult to choose. We took a cherry pie and a chocolate tart- both very good, but especially the chocolate one! The coffee was also very good (espresso and caffe latte). I wanted coffee with cream, but it was not on the menu. However, Rori went to the kitchen and... More

a recommendation by a former student took us to rori's patisserie in pilgramgasse 11, 1050 vienna, 5th district, that is. a gem, rori's turned out to be - an absolute must for lovers of great pastry and epicurean delights. forget the 'touristic' pastry shops, go for authenticity, tourists. the viennese, at least us, rank rori's top ! enjoy.

When you see a pastry shop as inviting as Rory's, all you wish for is to have a good first impression. Alas, it was a truly negative one for us. The lady who helped us on a weekday about ten days ago, at the end of May, was unwelcoming, gruff, made no effort to understand us or to speak in... More

Dear Judit, we would like to apologize for the mentioned misbehavior. Evidently, this does not represent our philosophy. After some consultation, it turned out that the mentioned woman is part of our bakehouse staff, hence, she is unfamiliar with proper selling and, apparently, communication. However, this does not excuse her from being polite. We already discussed this issue with her.... More

A small cafe with French pastery. Serving Lavazza coffee with a home made cookie. Small but fine. A cake of pistasch, peach and cream is delicious.

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
