Traditional Austrian restaurant, popular among local people for its lunch menus, has an outside sitting area. Service is average, portions large

If you like to be out of the touristic crowd, this is the place to go. You will eat in a traditonal Gaststube, with wooden panels, wooden bar and...almost only local drinking their huge beers. There is no English menu, so if you don't speak any German, you should make your choice online, so that you can use a translator. Each... More

Good service, good food and very welcoming staff. This restaurant although popular with Austrians, is also very popular with European visitors too, especially those from a Newmarket Tour trip! Nothing pretentious, good honest food and wine.

We stayed with a tour party at the nearby Hotel Kaiser Franz Josef and wanted to eat locally, and Robert's is just 7-8 minutes up the road. We had great & very authentic local food, excellent service from a lovely waitress who spoke very good English.

This restaurant was recommended by the Derag Living Hotel down the road. First, you should be aware that Austria still permits smoking in restaurants. This restaurant had 2 non-smoking, and 1 smoking area. Good menu selection and portion size was very good. You can eat here with confidence and enjoy your visit. Kitchen open until 10.00pm

Thank Drachsi

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
