We walked in on Christmas Day after 42 hours getting from Australia to a booking we had made over the internet. Though we arrived 2 hours before dinner service they were more than happy to bring the booking forward and provide sustenance. Service excellent - food good Austrian cuisine. They went to great lengths to meet our daughter's food intolerance... More

This is defnitely my favourite restaurant to go to for a nice breakfast! Love the 'Kännchen Kaffee" with scrambled eggs!

Nice cafe. If you stay in the center of town, it is not worth the trouble. We went because we expected viennese music. Instead we listened to the American songbook played on the piano. The wiener schnitzel was served on a large plate, which was not quite large enough. Colossal portion. It was very good. However the accompanying potato was... More

If your looking for somehwere to eat before going to the Volksoper, there are not many places open early in the evening so this is a reasonable option. Traditional Viennese, this is mid-way between a coffee house and a bistro. Food is wholesome and filling and the service was efficient.

We had a table reserved before we went to Vienna since we went to an operette in the Volksoper that evening. It is a charming restaurant with piano music and a Viennese atmosphere. The food is good. And it is only 2 minutes from the Volksoper.

My husband and I are in our seventies and we have visited Vienna frequently. As we were going to a show at the Volksoper we booked a table here. The waiter was condescending and downright rude. I am fluent in German so there was no misunderstanding of his behaviour. He also had the temerity to ask how much we would... More

I went with my cousins to the Volksoper and suggested we go for a drink and a snack after the show to Cafe Weimar. It is a 5 minutes walk from the Volksoper and tram 40 0r 41 will take you within a minute to the place. There were quite a few tables on the footpath of course shielded from... More
