I decided to give Pho Saigon a chance after finding one review that said it had gluten free options. I'm typically not a fan of Vietnamese flavors, and I'm so glad I didn't listen to my past experiences! This place was a lunch gem. Not only did they help bridge the language gap in English and were warm and friendly,... More

We had a fine dinner starting with shrimp wonton rolls. Next having the Tamarind fish and the basil cilantro duck. We had a very nice bottle of BigJohn Austrian wine (37 euros). It was enjoyable. The service is great and the staff are very helpful. The food is fresh and delicious.

Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Warm and welcoming environment. I would recommend this restaurant to others. My only complaint is that the meat in the rolls was very salty. The curry and lamb were both very good and seasoned well.

We reserved before the concert and I guess we were the last guests to enter after 10 pm. We still got the full service and felt treated with respect. The crispy duck, the octopus with lemongrass and the fried pak choi to share in the middle of the table were just great, light and perfect for a late dinner. We... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant. This time the service was great but the food was just average! We were group of five and we ordered four different appetizers and four different mains. Like I said for many Vienna restaurants, food looks great on the plate but is unfortunately tasteless. None of our food was no better than... More

Just can't understand all the great reviews as this place has no ambience and the food is dreadful and not at all authentic. Canteen like, over brightly lit atmosphere and the menu is presented as a laminated card with photographs that you pick from. When the meal arrives I would say at best there is a vaugue resemblance to what... More

First of all: The restaurant was not bad. However, after reading all these reviews and also recommendations from friends, it didn't quite match my high expectations. The big spring roll I ordered was comparable with much cheaper ones in standard asian restaurants, while the fried salmon fillet was decent, but I missed some kind of sauce there.. The service was... Coming from Sydney where there's a rich and abundant scene of Vietnamese cuisine this place hit the spot for us Their authentic Vietnamese coffee (with condensed milk) was great ! And their beef pho was served hot and quite flavoursome. The bun bo hue wasn't as good as mums but still delicious ! The owner is Vietnamese himself and seems... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
