This is what I expect from Michelin star restaurant. Fabolous courses, elegant, creative, and super delicious. The little forest full of foie gras was the best! Great signature dish. The staff was very nice and professional. The whole restaurant is beautiful. I will go back...to Silvio Nickol restaurant with pleasure.More

Very nice location and amazing service. Quite and relaxing. To me it's too modern and too french. You could be anywhere but not in Austria. It has nothing Austrian. Too many ingredients in one same dish. Without menu you'd be lost. Additionally, in Austria, in...such a place, and with such prices, you can serve me all but not Asian products. Quality may be somewhere in Asia well, but it's first in other countries with more historyMore

We decided to celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary in Vienna in a high class fine dining restaurant and ultimately have chosen Silvio Nickol, aided in part by the large number of raving reviews here. In retrospect, there were some warnings about what's to come...in the not-so-good reviews, with choices of words such as "overwhelming", "overpowering" and "strong herbs". That in the end turned out to be our experience too. We have ordered the 7 course tasting menu and gradually found out that about 2-3 very strong flavours, unknown to us before, and none of them pleasing, dominate the whole menu. As an example, there is a sauce of deep green color, which was particularly unpleasant to us, and it was served in at least 3 and maybe 4 dishes. Including what I remember as "gazpacho foam", served in an eggshell, a beautifully presented, very fresh and delicate dish until I've reached the bottom of it and there was that green sauce again, ruining the experience. A moment of relief came with the cheese selection, however after that the taste assault continued as the strange flavors made it to the following amuse-bouche and even the dessert. Finally the petits fours made sure that we at least leave the restaurant with a good taste in our mouth. The wine pairing was another disappointment as most courses came with a sweet wine. In retrospect it would have been much better to order a bottle or two of dry wine, white or red. At the end we politely declined the invitation to the kitchen, as at that time we only wished to be out as quickly as possible. I realize that not everybody has the same taste, and it can happen that you do not like a particular dish in a tasting menu, however here the whole tasting menu was dominated by the same flavors throughout and as we did not like those, we were out of luck. Overall a dreadful experience.More

For 2 michelin star restaurant this is quiet strange, beautiful location but not nice service and arguable taste, for such a restaurant i expected something special and not just expensive, unfortunately this wasn't a good experience!

This restaurant is a different league. Perfect and attentive service, fine and creative dining experience in a very nice atmosphere. We had 4 and 5 course menues that included sturgeon starter (absolutely great), polenta with truffle, Chef's special duck liver, venison main course was cooked...to perfection. The apple desert was different and interesting. After dinner we were shown the kitchen and introduced to the Chef Silvio Nickol who is a lovely man . In summary A memorable experience that is worth the money. Outstanding service and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely return! Tipp:Try to get table in the mail hall.More

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We were shown into the main dining room as we’d booked a number of months in advance (others seemed to be seated out in the corridor). We chose the 5 course set menu. All the...dishes were perfectly executed and well thought through, the veal was cooked to perfection, as was the fish, scallops and all the desserts. There were some surprising elements to dishes with a chocolate snowman served with liver pate and brioche which actually worked beautifully. We’ve only been to one other Michelin starred restaurant and that seemed to be more experimental in its flavour combinations. This was pretty safe fine dining but can’t fault the execution we would have like more gastronomic surprises (this is being very picky, but at £300+ maybe that’s to be expected). Service was good and attentive. We also got to meet the chef too and completely blanked when he asked us about our favourite dishes (a bit embarrassing!).More

Thank you this two Michelin Stars restaurant gave us an impressive experience here when I travelled in Vienna, Austria. We ordered two sets of 5 courses and two glasses of champagnes. All are tasty, perfect and amazing! You can feel the chefs’ passion for foods!...All dishes are with attractive looking and special! Also, all the waiters there are with very high quality service! After the meal, I was very grateful for the staff to let me have a kitchen tour and had a photo session with the main chef. Thank you again for giving me an impressive experience here and Vienna!More

This Michelin started restaurant is indeed very fancy and stylish. From the moment you have entered the restaurant you get first class treatment. This 8 course meal (in case you will make this smart choice) lasts for four hours. All was very good, and we...mostly enjoyed the pasta with truffles dish and the deer meat dish. At the end we were taken into the restaurant’s kitchen to personally meet the chef, which added to the experience.More

This is a very "adult" elegant restaurant. The service is impeccable. The food is artistically plated and delicious. We chose the 7-course menu. It was a wonderful evening.
