We were staying close by and walked along this characterful street full of old Austrian buildings. Popped into Bohème to ask about my food intolerances and reserve a table. The secret to a good restaurant is excellent food and excellent service. Simple! Our waiter, Alex,...was a delight, speaking a multitude of languages, serving all the tables, making wine recommendations, advising on menu choices, all with good humour and a cheerful smile. It’s such a delight to meet someone so very good at their job! And the food? Wow! Starters were a pile of fresh smoked salmon and mushroom soup served in a bread cob. The mains were divine: perfectly cooked fillet for hubby and calves liver in an onion and garlic free gravy for me. Both were truly exceptional dishes. Much as I’d have loved to try a dessert, there was simply no room left in my tummy. Golly gosh - something to come back to Vienna for! 🥰More

Very disappointing. Food - one dish tasteless and meat tough eg Zwiebelrostbraten almost too much for the knife. Other way too much cream. Fresh meals in 5 mins!? Impossible - must be vats of pre-prepared stuff. Meals arrived at same time as first drink. Staff...ok but not engaging. Atmosphere not what we expected from other reviews. Won't be backMore

Lucky to get a walk-in table when the restaurant was very busy - and deservedly so. Food was delicious and the service excellent, despite being rushed off their feet. The best meal during our four night stay in Vienna. Particularly enjoyed the wine that was...recommended by the staff.More

This was in the neighborhood where we stayed, and we were delighted with our meal. Very cozy atmosphere, wonderful food, and a lovely part of town. It happened to be our last night in Vienna, and capped things off very nicely!

We had dinner here the first night we arrived to Vienna. After a long trip, we were so happy to happy to have found this restaurant by the hotel’s receptionist recommendation. There is an amazing ambiance but the food is all you expect from the...Austrian cuisine and then some. I had an admiration for such a great quality of food at such a fair price. Will definitely recommend this restaurant for a meal as a couple, friends gathering or family vacations!!! You will be impressed with the Beef Stroganof! Mouth watering!More

Checking off another local must-try - Tafelspitz (boiled beef with potatoes). Googled randomly for the nearest restaurant that serves Austrian cuisine and found Boheme. Can't say if this is the best Tafelspitz since it's my first but I enjoyed it and the service was excellent,...friendly and attentive. They've got a great value lunch time set menu but unfortunately the main options did not include Tafelspitz and because I saw the pumpkin soup on the set, I had to order it a la carte. Glad it didn't fail. Lovely ambience too, with candlelight and classical music in the background.More

Excellent meal, relaxed, pleasant atmosphere, great service. We stumbled on Boheme quite by chance but what a fabulous discovery. It was mushroom week… you must try the house speciality of duck breast. Done to perfection over a bed of porcine mushroom risotto. Another great restaurant...in Vienna.More

We randomly picked this place for our last meal in Vienna as it was close to our hotel, but it was simply great. The food was delicious and the service was great, there aren’t a lot of tables outside and it was all handled by...one waiter. Location is in a beautiful alley. I do think however that it was maybe a bit overpriced, just based on other places we ate similar food, but nothing that would make me not recommend this place.More

Going on reviews looked forward to a pleasant Christmas eve supper, well!!! What a disappointment. Starting with "the boss" being more interested in pouring & drinking his own beer than paying any attention to his "clients". Wine displayed but not for sale, so taking a...red wine recommended by the disinterested waiter, I ended up with an undrinkable red liquid that smelt of boiled cabbage (left more than half of the not inexpensive glass) Main course of beef was 50% gristle & fat.( 50% left on plate) Dessert of Rasberry souffle was a cheap attempt of chocolate sponge with four frozen rasberries dotted around( more than 50% left on plate) My request for a dessert was ignored, so saved a few euros there when my wifes mess arrived. Come here to be ripped off & ignored. My worst experience in Vienna in 7 days!!More

Guided by nice reviews, we were coming to Boheme. But is was very disappointing. Veeery mediocre food. Really below level. For example, my Norwegian salm was 2 tiny pieces of middle-of-the road salmon, buried in a huge pile of rucola (10x10 cm...- really). Food was...mediocre at best. Carpaccio of my wife, same thing. Main dishes also mediocre.More

Please don’t eat here! You will be utterly disappointed. Insane waiting time and food arriving at different times making it impossible to eat together. Raw and low quality food and drink is standard. As well as food arriving late, without apology, and overall very low...standard for Vienna - probably the worst meal I’ve ever had in this city.More

We visited this restaurant as it was right in the heart of the christmas market near our hotel; I phoned and reserved as there is 4 of us. We got seated in a corner in an off room which was nice and quiet. Classical music...is played in the background. The meal was cooked as I wanted, the Strudel was to die for. The cost was very reasonable. Service wasn't super-fast, but we were in no hurry. We visited again a few nights later (just two of us) and we had a very mediocre experience, so you may find your mileage might vary.More

I looked for a quaint restaurant to have a quiet dinner and as Boheme offered classical music in the background I thought it would be perfect. We made an online reservation for 6 pm as all other times were blocked out. The app "Delinsky" indicated...we would also receive a 30 % discount for coming at this time. Upon arrival I informed the waiter of my reservation but he did not seem to be aware of it until I showed hime the confirmation. I ordered the goulash soup which had good flavour but surprisingly had only one piece of meat in it. The accompanying soup/sauce was off the charts salty. No point in complaining I thought, perhaps just an error or it had been allowed to reduce too long. I ordered the duck for main but was told there were out. The waiter recommended the special "goose" instead and I agreed. This was a beautiful presentation of a large piece of meat with accompanying bones/breast plate. It too was way too salty as well. I had never had goose and it was hard to describe the flavour but it was a lot leaner that duck I imagine and somewhat dry. The potato dumpling it came with was doughy and tasty but nothing special. The red cabbage was oversalted and mushy. I did not bother with it. My spouse's app of sausages turned out to be a large skinny wiener, not a home made sausage, and served with some limp sauerkraut and mustard. Again a disappointment. Very little care seemed to go into the selection of ingredients for these dishes. His main of wild boar was ok, cooked well done, and served in a dark gravy. Came served with fried potatoes. The food lack finesse, was overly salted (again) and the server was pretty dismissive when I informed him after the meal that I felt there was too much salt. He actually said it was just the juices of the meat! Also worth nothing that the wine by the glass I ordered "pinot noir" was also "out". We passed on dessert and when the bill came there was no sign of the discount. When I enquired the waiter acted confused and tried to state something regarding that they no longer take the Delinsky app. Clearly they do as that was how I made the reservation. He returned with a manually adjusted bill including the 30%, no clarification or apology, and informed us we must pay in cash. ??? We do so and thought good riddance. It was overall a subpar experience given the wealth of amazing food in Vienna. I am perplexed at the prior positive reviews this place has received.More

We enjoyed a great dinner at Boheme. I had the chicken Milanese and my husband had the 3 course special with salmon salad, beef and potatoes, and an outstanding rich and creamy chocolate mousse dessert! The food was delicious and attractively presented. There is opera...music playing in the background and an Austrian decor. Cash only here. We would recommend Boheme.More
