Highly Recommended!!!! A beautiful café on the top of Austria; a beautiful setting with a view. One of a kind decor and such a cosy, romantic and beautiful setting. A totally unique experience..though we could not spend as much time as we would have liked to since it was time for them to close; we grabbed a cup of coffee,... More

We took number 38 to grinzing and further 38a to the top to cobenzl to visit landgut wien cobenzl (A small farm) with my 2.5 year old son. It was a lovely place with the sun playing hide and seek behind clouds. Being a vegetarian I had limited options but the waiter suggested soya patties which came with some salad... More

On a clear day the view is amazing - so much so that you'd like to sit on the verandah to enjoy it, especially when it's a sunny blue sky winter's day. But when I asked, the waiter said: "No - the boss said it's shut". So my family and I sat inside. Half an hour later the same waiter... More

Today we visited Cafe Restaurant Cobenzl, Olaf Auer Imbissstubenbetriebs. The views down the valley to Vienna were very pleasing and the Restaurant retained a kitsch seventies decor, which it wore well. The seating was comfortable and the service appropriately attentive and stylish. We only had drinks, so I can`t comment on the meals available, but I would definitely return for... More

Took the 38 to Grinzing (the Vienna Woods), then the 38a to Cobenzl on a very hot day. Found this cafe at the top to be a perfect place to sit and enjoy the hazy view of the city and one of the best Apple strudels. Could sit inside and enjoy the gentleman playing the piano, or choose an outside... More

Beeing a local to Vienna, I can really say, that you will have a very nice view up here. However: The service level is really annoying, the quality of food has seen a steady decline to a point, where it really is getting disgusting. The poor food paired with low quality of service and a high price tag is already... More

We waited for a waiter to come for 20 minutes to serve us, and we waren't the only ones regarding this problem. Finaly we had to quit and go. It's a shame that we couldn t find the owner there to tell him how rude is reacting his staff when u have the guts to complain about them doing nothing.There... More

Me and my boyfriend decided to go here today, we didnt expect much, because of some reviews and the fact that is a turistic place. And i have to say we were happily surprised with the experience. First of all the view is just amazing, especially on days that the sky is bright blue...you will get lost on the city... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
