Believe what you see on Trip Advisor that this place is terrible. I wish I had checked beforehand. I was just walking past the restaurant and decided to give it a try because I love Indian food. The food tasted like it had been reheated from a can or frozen dinner package. The garlic naan is merely just a packaged... More

So i should have left when I walked in and it was empty during prime dinner hours. The owner was nice but the food was salty and not very flavorful.

The food here is very average. The restaurant is there for almost 29 years as per the owner but there was very little involvement to interact with their guest in spite no one else was at the restaurant. The food was average nothing great.

We ate in this restaurant last year and the food was very bland with not much taste. The cutlery was dirty and there was only one other person eating in the restauarant.. This should have given us the signs not to eat here. The day after eating in this restaurant I got very sick and was off work for 2... More

Not overly impressed and am being a bit generous with my three stars, as it really should be a 2 1/2. I went on a Thursday night and was the only person there - that should have been a sign, though I was encouraged by seeing someone leave with takeout just as I arrived and thought the restaurant had a... Situated on the main road ,this is quiet place run by gentleman with his wife, Excellent food and rotis with quick service , they have nice variety of Indian food so tourists can fill themselves up. Get off at Nestroplatz station and walk in direction of the giant wheel for about 100 meters.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
