Good but not fancy real Greek cuisine. The food is displayed and can be seen before ordering. Nice friendly service.

Great home made food, although the selection is limited, I would strongly recommend to try it for a lunch

The food was delicious, but nothing fancy. If you want some good home cooked meals this is the place for you. The restaurant itself is very minimalistic, but charming. The owner greeted everybody as if we came to his home and made us feel very welcome.

We kept laughing at how we were eating Greek food in Vienna but this restaurant had some delicious food! We ate here 2 times during our week long stay and would have gone back for more but forced ourselves to explore more traditional foods during our stay. We enjoyed a lot of items on the menu - the Moussaka was... More

Honestly, this restaurant is just great. We (8 personens) had a great time and the food was just awsome. I really do not understand some of the reviews here because the food was for sure not old or something like that... I hopt to be in Vienna soon again to eat at Kostas!

I would have to agree with mi1972, the Gyros just had a foul smell to them. The vegetables didn't seem to be fresh either. The owner seemed annoyed and wanted to know where we are from, and that customers from other nations didn't complain. I didn't understand why he makes it a "where you are from" issue, the meat was... I had good memories of this place and it earned good reviews in the 2000 years... So I took my girlfriend there tonight. My moussaka turned out inedible (the lamb had a spooky smell), her food had a stale taste. The Retsina also turned out impossible to drink. So we just left. Right now, I am sitting at home swallowing... More

Very handy place to eat after a concert. The souvlaki and rice rinsed down with two generous glasses of white wine hit the spot and for EUR 23 was good value. Nice to sit out in the warm evening.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
