We got take out from this restaurant and the staff were really friendly. Pizza was very quick (10-15 mins) and the restaurant (although we didn't stay and eat there) had a nice atmosphere and felt cozy. Would recommend for reasonably priced, good pizza.

Stumbled into this humble, below ground pizza joint. The owner was working his tail off to feed our group of 7 and others. Very good, very simple pizzas and beer.

Found this restaurant by chance. Great service extremely friendly. Amazing pizza. Couldn't decide which to have so they made one not on the menu with just about everything on it. Lasagne also good. Very reasonably priced. This restaurant also allows smoking inside Would definitely recommend

While in Vienna on business recently, a work colleague craved a pizza so we ended up here. The pizza was good, the beer cold and the service friendly and efficient. The restaurant hits the spot on all counts.

Returning to Vienna without visiting Verdi would be unfathomable. Still the best pizza in Vienna. Lovely, warm atmosphere-great solo or with a group. The owners are wonderful people and always make you feel at home. Great weekly pizza and lasagna specials too. They also do takeaway pizza if you're staying in the area. Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
