After walking around the 1st District, get your energy back with a snack (toast, soup, salads, schnitzel, pasta) and beautiful cakes. Austrian Knoedel and Kaiserschmarren also offered, a sweet dish which easily goes through as a filling main dish.

It's a nice cafe where you could have a cup of tea/coffe and some cake. Desserts are fresh but standard and nothing special. We were in the evening, there were a lot of people and tired staff.

Stopped here for lunch on a very, very cold January day. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, our waitress (Ezta I think ) squeezed us into a table. Food was good, but the service was what made it memorable.

Located near the Stephansdom and it always filled with tourists. However the waiters are unfazed and provide a very high-level professional service. The Mittagsmenü (Daily selections) provides a cheap and nice lunch. The cakes are always fresh and there's plenty to choose from.

It was cold as ice outside, and we were looking for a warm place with coffee an cake, and what a great place we found! It was hard to decide which cake to choose (they all look great)... We took (and definitely recommand on): Hollander and Maroni Tartelette The cappuccino was excellent, and so was the latte macchiato. The prices... More

Typical Viennese sweet cafe. Always fool of people. Some of sweet is heavy for me, but much better than other Viennese cafe place. I think.

The cafe is located in the historic center of Vienna and very stylishly decorated. This is a must visit place! The café offers a selection of sweet products. The waiters are attentive and helpful, ready to help you in your choice. Very cozy cafe. We ordered a cake Oberlaa, chocolate mousse and apple strudel. A place to return. We recommend... More

Wonderful Gulasch followed by delicious Äpfel Mohn cake. High quality food at reasonable prices. Perfect ambience and busy buzz makes it a cafe (Konditori) well worth visiting for the Viennese coffee culture.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
