My sister, niece and I opted to have breakfast at Oberlaa instead of our hotel. The cafe was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Vienna. In addition to fabulous cakes and pastries, they have a lovely breakfast menu. My sister ordered the...More

The sachet torte and pastry were nothing much. Seems to cater to the tourists. Better trying another cafe down the street

Traditional Viennese patisserie with friendly service. My favorites are their lemon and chocolate mousse cake. Also they have very nice macaroons. Love this place and i stop by quite often, when i crave classical Viennese desserts.

Visited this place which is highly ranked in all similar sites. What to say, simply is average. Nothing special. Desserts and food will not disappoint if you don't have exceptional expectations. Just keep in mind it's just a point to relax for an half hour...More

Great place for a strudel and a cup of coffee or tea. Friendly authentic atmosphere, enormous choice of all-you -could-imagine sweets, pastries and cakes. Recommended!

Since there are quite a few Oberlaa locations, I was hoping I'd eventually bump into one while in Vienna, and I did! I was excited to see quite a few gluten free options for me to choose from, but I decided on the Höllander cake...More

While you're there, make sure to enjoy both the main dishes AND deserts. Several vegetarian options available. A full lunch is served at the upstairs restaurant. The only downside is that I had to ask for the check 5 (!) times and waited for it...More

Stopped here on the Saturday afternoon before Easter, which was a busy time, but we were able to get a table without a wait and were treated to some great desserts and Melanger coffee and hot chocolate.

Delicious cakes and coffee in the centre of Vienna. My son apologised to his mother before saying that his was the best gluten-free cake he'd ever tasted! Not cheap of course, but worth the indulgence.

Hi Carol, thank you for your question. I think their outdoor seating place is closed in October just because the weather can change at this time. I was there in the beginning of November several times and it was closed. I... More
