This hamburger bar is tiny (seats about 25) but it was full of locals and had a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and happy to spend time explaining the menu to us, which was printed in German. The menu is small but the items are quite varied and unique. We had the Mexico burger and the "winterwickel burger"... More

...and our friends' daughter wanted a decent burger for dinner so we all decided to go here! The staff look surprised when we went in the moment they opened and initially service and staff seemed to be quite distant towards us. One of the male staff then took over the service for our table and everything improved very quickly. Everyone... More

Okay, so the Austrians are well known for their way of boiling everything edible such as veal, beef or basically any meat you can think of. Now there's something profoundly wrong with the idea of serving a burger with an unappetisingly grey patty that looks like it's been boiled and not grilled. And no seasoning whatsoever. Cardinal mistake. And what's... More

We managed to find this unique restaurant near our accommodation which provided a great food and service. There was a lot of emphasis on their 'homemade' food which exceeded expectations. I ate their beef burger, which was served with blue cheese and a sliced peach; it was delicious (I personally thought the peach would be too sweet, but it cheese... More

I love burgers and I want to try them everywhere I go. The one in Burgermacher was really good. Everything about the place was great. It has a very hipster feel. The dude that was serving us was an ultimate hipster. They had craft beer in a fridge...what else would you want. Loved the place and would recommend and hope... More

This is indeed the place you want to visit if you are in Vienna and into Burgers. Amazing young and creative team. Always a vegetarian option on the menu (mostly not my first choice but for some a good reason for a visit). Recently re-designed their interieur. Great new looks! And last but not least: Top Espresso. CYA soon Burgermacher!... More

Arriving at The Burgmacher we were asked if we had booked a table. We explained we hadn't, the waiter (owner?) scratched his head saying something in German and we asked how long it would take. 5 minutes he said🙄. We sat down at the bar counter and were treated with homemade strawberry ice tea and was told to pick a... More

Two Burgers with chips, a glass of White wine and a bottle of beer = 37,5 EUR. Burghers and Chips way too salty.

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins.
