We enjoyed a great evening of good food and and attentive service by our waiter, Rami as we stopped here for dinner on our first night in Vienna as part of our cycle tour. The establishment was warm and inviting and most importantly able to accommodate 16 people. Despite being an Italian restaurant, I had a lovely seafood meal and... More

Francesco is one of the best Italian restaurants in Vienna. On a quiet street on district 19, it has a beautiful garden, good food and great service! I recommend aperols and other appetizers.

I visited this restaurant twice, because my friend lives in this area. I loved the garden with tables, the wine and quite plain but very nice food: pizza, pasta, good starters. Which is much better than schnitzel obviously :-) So if you pass by this area, it is worth visiting. If not, I am not sure you should go there... More

Rost Braten and apple strudel are the best. Good red and white wine. Grinzing is the place to past the night away. while you eat they are serenading you.

very good as usual, we sat on the wonderful terrace, the waiters as usual create a very relaxed atmosphere. My partner had mussels with white wine, they were excellent, I had a risotto with mushrooms, very good dish too. Don't expect michelin star food here, but fresh and good quality food for very acceptable prices. Their house wines are always... More

One of our locals since many years, Viennese charm is fusionend with Italian flair. The front of house staff are professional and make you feel like you're at home. Great at recommending, don't fear for a wine tip, you won't be disappointed. The Pizza's are real Italian, thin and generous on the toppings. All the other classics are there too,... More

Although the food was not as good as in the last the atmosphere more then makes up for that. The pizza was decent with large portion sizes. Outdoor seating the summer is wry enjoyable.

Went here for a business dinner with a group of four. The weather was great so we sat outside which is really fantastic. The restaurants garden is awesome with huge trees. The food is good and very affordable. Staff is very friendly. I can really recommend this place, try to sit outside if the weather permits it.

The pizza is always something to look forward to- be wise and order a pizza with loads of meat, cheese and vegetables on it. Especially in summer it is nice to sit in the garden under the shadow of the tall oaks. The service mostly is good. Definitely a place to recommend.

Staying in Dobling

Neighbourhood Profile
Dobling
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
